Tamasha has collected around Rs 10-11 crore (early estimate) on its opening day at the box office, which is good when you consider the fact that both the trailer and music received a mixed response.
However, the audience that watch Ranbir Kapoor films on Day 1 has dropped quite significantly in the last few years. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani collected Rs 19 crore on Day 1 (non-holiday Friday), Besharam collected Rs 21 crore (holiday) and even Roy, where Ranbir was seen in a special appearance, collected Rs 10.4 crore on its opening day at the box office.
Tamasha, which released on 2000 screens across the country, was mainly targeted at the multiplex audience and it’s here where it got a wide release. Single-screen release was limited to a select few theatres only and the film has performed poorly here.
Saturday will now be extremely important for the film, as it’s on this day that such films show major escalation in business. The growth has to be in the 30-40% range if the film has to have any chance of recovering its investment.

Tamasha is Imitaz Ali’s best work. Different and refreshing! OMG what a brilliant performances by Ranbir & Deepika, i am sure they both will get awards this year. Super Awesome Direction and Screen Play. Imtiaz Ali has a tendency to blend the emotion of scenes with the locations and it worked out brilliantly here. The movie has a high class- emotional appeal, something only Imtiaz Ali can deliver. Ranbir’s acting in some scenes will leave you awe-inspired New Milestone in Hindi Cinema, i am not sure if Indian Audience is prepare for Tamasha yet because they are used to movies like Body Guard, Ready & Son of Sardar. it does’t matter how good or bad this movie will do at box office but i am sure Tamasha will steal all big awards this year.

I likeRanbeer Kapoor as an actor but the fact nobody can deny that no onin the industry should take A DIG OR PANGA WITH SALMAN BHAI OR WITH HIS FANS,as iam a ardent fan of SALMAN BHAI, Firstly ranbeer shoud have visited salman khan on bigg boss this shows his insecurity with salman as well he cannot contact eye to eye with him,

Ranbir kapoor is history its a fact, sooner he and his associates realise this better for him personally and professionally. he no more can carry a movie on his own he needs support and even with imtiyaz ali at the helm of affairs and deepika as heroin his movies are falling like a house of cards, poorly they are not even taking moderate face saving initials. His stardom Was fake and his success was fluke but yes there was certain audiences who trusted his intelligence that he can never go wrong with his scripts same as aamir and hrithik. Well i have no doubt that he didnot have machoism and personality like salman and akshay neither he has such stardom Tamasha is just a beginning of his worst days which will come to an end with failure of Sunjay dutt biopic. He will make hirani go wrong for the 1st time coz he is totally misfit and how hard hirani tries no one can make another tajmahal. after all he is hirani he is not god. Its better for him to settle down with katrina as i personally feel they make a nice couple. He may try his luck at direction or production but please avoid your father as your PR cause he has habbit of getting things wrong. Take care Ranbir sorry you are no more than a next Kumar Gaurav only difference is your success comes in middle and his in beginning but than even I cannot deny you are far better an actor to him but yiu lacks karizma of khans and Hrithik.
Ranveer and Varun both of them now I.am afraid have more bankable star power than Ranbir.
