Aamir Khan’s Talaash has opened well at multiplexes all over India.
The All India opening is around 70%, Mysore circuit has performed the best where the film is running to full houses for the early morning shows. The opening is 80-90% at premium multiplexes in Noida, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi.
As expected, the response at single screens is below the mark.
Early reports from the morning shows and the premiere held last night are good.

@noi you are on the wrong page my illiterate small minded friend!!! I am an Aamir Khan fan but You just said that Om Shanti Om was a blockbuster despite being a crap movie? No you dont unserstand- OSO is a blockbuster because it had repeat value- Why? Well for one thing it was Entertaining and secondly along with SRK, Deepika and Arjun gave good performances so people went and watched the film more than once. Blockbuster movies dont have to have the greatest scripts or great performances, they just need to be entertaining enough for people to keep coming back and watching them over and over again. Thats my point when I told @zaib14 to think before speaking crap. Aamirs movies over the last few years guarantee that one quality- repeat value! SRKs JTHJ being 3 hrs long unfortunately would test peoples patience to the max so hence it had very little repeat value.

honestly its a slow movie. I watched its noon show and many are sleeping in the end of movie. Some of them said that first time they have sleep in a movie. Very poor movie. I can’t believe thats amir khan movie. Thumbs down.

Hmm. Basically Aamir did these so called disturbing sex scenes in Talaash & then went to Hajj.
“sau chuhe khake billi hajj ko chali” fit banta hai yahan par.
I agree with all of u we have not made film talaash up to the mark as the film is late in relesae for about 6 months time, Aamir is superb, about the sex-scenes they are not avoidable and film carries certificate U/A. I strongly reccomend families not to watch the film with kids.

Sallu is up next. I think Sallu had a purple patch. His dream run will come to an end in 2013 as he has pathetic directors lined up. arbaaz khan, sohail khan etc etc.

Its not just TALAASH, it has happened with DON-2 as well.
Indian cinema screenwriting is paper thin. You cannot import hollywood atmosphere & western lingo & culture in a bollywood thrille genre. a reason why DON-2 & now TALAASH both failed with masses.
SRK carried the film despite poor direction again in DON-2 (poor direction was also there in Don-2006) with stylized performance. Aamir needs to carry TALAASH now.
This is not good for Bollywood in general. You guys are the future. If the producers cannot get a right motivated director to direct thriller, movies will come out as they are being just average or even below average.
“Fan” Director Farhan Akhtar is not the best director for movie like DON or DON-2. but Sriram Raghavan, Vijay Anand is & was respectively.
In hollywood, Tarantino as a fan has often taken back seat to Robert rodriguez because latter was better choice for movie like MACHETTE. George Lucas has taken back seat to both Speilberg and Camaron for numerous ATBBs despite developing techonology for AVATAR.
the outcome of the product is the most imp than fans jumping into directors or writers chair and ruing the product. Everyone have best intentions but not everyone can fully do the justice to the product.
Still dont believe me. Please go & see SKYFALL 007. I would call that a perfect THRILLER despite holes in the plot.
Yes i agree with u but the probs was in our story line up which was not up to the mark and we had trust in Reema Kagti and the script was incomplete and was finally written % altered on sets and Aamir involving very much the film was delayed and later all was in hands of Farhan. i agree and except something went wrong.

just watched it today what a movie it was. aamir’s acting is by far the best of the year and specially in a secene where he sitting near river and break down. see there are two groups of fans who are spreading negativity for this film. one is srk fans and other akshay fans because srk fans insecure that it beat the lifetime JTHJ and akshay fans are insecure that talaash might effect khiladi 786 pretty badly. these aaki know very well that aamir’s movie run for three weeks long. these two same groups also spread negativity for ek tha tiger aki fans for joker whicch disaster and srk fans as usual they cant stand anyother stars success, but look what happened its blockbuster, and same will be for talaash. akki and srk fans please get a life
