Sultan is set to be a much bigger film. Mid-Day reports that the makers of the Salman Khan starrer have decided to recreate major sports events to add realism to the film.
Since the plot of the film features real sports tournaments, events like the 2010 Asian Games in China, 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, 2012 Olympics in London and 2013 Wrestling World Championships in Hungary will be re-enacted.
“The film’s plot features real sports tournaments that have a critical influence on its characters. To build authenticity and add credibility, immaculate efforts have been taken by the makers to recreate major sports events.” a source was quoted as saying by the daily.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed the news ”You can say we have put in enough time for research of the sport. We met real life wrestlers and then incorporated that in the script; travelled extensively through Haryana and Delhi for two months and toured the akhadas (wrestling hubs) as part of our research.”

Real life footage maybe of poor quality. If it is not shot with excellent lighting and High Resolution cameras. This can affect over all quality of SULTAN which already looks and seem all over the place.

Ali Abbas Zafar should shoot everything under controlled set which can give him maximum leverage at making SULTAN an watchable finished product.

Looking at the reports that have emerged about Sultan so far, the film does promises to be in grand scale and it does not look like the meaningless masala flicks normally associated with Salman. Salman the actor will be put through a strenuous test one would feel. Looks like the film will have emotional sequences and it will be interesting to see how he is gonna portray the various emotions associated with acting which is supposedly not his strong forte.
