While reports of Anushka Sharma signing Shah Rukh Khan’s next have been doing the rounds in the last couple of weeks, SRK has said that the rumours doing the rounds aren’t true.
“I have been hearing a lot of things like I am playing a Sikh, a guide.. but in another two months we will announce the film. We are waiting for the technical team to get together” Shah Rukh told reporters on Tuesday.
There were reports that Anushka had been finalised to play the female lead, after Deepika’s dates couldn’t be worked out. Also, Deepika is likely to be the top contender to share screen-space with the superstar in Aanand L Rai’s ambitious next.
Last week, Imtiaz Ali along with his team flew to Budapest (Hungary) to finalise shooting locations for their film. Like Imtiaz’s ‘Tamasha’, his next untitled film will be shot across stunning locations – most of which will be in Europe. The makers are currently in the process of getting permissions at locations where they want to shoot the film.
Shah Rukh will begin shooting in August this year. The film doesn’t yet have a release date – but the actor has said in the past that he likes to announce the dates of his films after it goes on floors.
I hope the movie turns out to be very good l… Hope it touches 300 crores with suitable release date..
SRK has given us many wonderful films like DDLJ, KKHH, Mohabatein , Veer zaara which made him king of bollywood.
Now his career is in low phase So we should support him.

I will be looking forward to this film.. Imtiaz Ali is a good director and I loved his films like Jab We Met, Rockstar, Tamasha..
SRK needs just one good commercial film to get back to where he belongs.
From a box office point of view.. it hope it holds wider appeal, because if its as niche as Tamasha.. then it has no chance to be a big grosser.

The heroine does not matter. Am definitely sure whoever will be the heroine will be casted based on an unanimous decision. All is well Shah Rukh..!
Agree with @aman.. we all should support SRK and not criticise him after a few bad films.. when a role really demands a good performance, we all know he can deliver better than most actors in the industry.
I think Srk should start shooting from June last. Than he can complete it fast and move for Anand L. Rais project.

Bollywood lack grls with desi feel like samantha..kajal agarwal to do a great love story. I hope deepika-srk doent happn they might be great on box office bt nt ideal pair.

Super excited about all three next movies of his : Raees, Anand Rais movie as well as his movie with Imtiaz Ali. Also about Gauri Shindes movie but that comes on 4th number.
SRK + Imtiaz + Anushka looks to be super awesome combo. Looking forward to it definitely. Waiting for more details about the movie.
But am most excited about the Anand Rai movie since the time heard he plays a midget. Plus I am a fan of Anand Rais story telling method (found TWM, TWMR, Ranjhanaa to be superb) so him coming together with SRK hopefully shall be something really great. Have heard it is a romantic movie and there will be two heroines in it. But all that is secondary. SRK playing a different role and directed by Anand Rai is enough a reason to desperately wait for no matter who the heroine is.

And adding onto my last comment I am hoping Anushka gets finalized for Imtiaz Alis movie. Found her pairing with SRK to be great in RNBJ and JTHJ. So looking forward to her working with SRK again.

If u are a fan of Anand L Rai , then u must watch ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ . Although it’s not directed by him , but he produced it and played a part behind the super-emotional screenplay , apart from helping the young director Ashwini Iyer .
U will find Anand’s touch in the movie . Must watch .
Next year Gandhi jayanti and independence day are vacant..the should target any of these release dates..also,post ipl date is also vacant..Gandhi jayanti falls on Monday next year so it can give a 4 day extended weekend to the film.. Independence day falls on Tuesday so it can take that benefit of a holiday during weekday..I hope Shahrukh Khan targets these release dates and makes an official announcement soon..

waiting for raees
While SRK has confirmed both Anand L Rai and Imtiyaz Ali film, there is no update which will be releasing first.
Anand’s film has lot of technical glitche as they will have to vigorously work on vfx to make SRK fit for the role of dwarf.
So obviously, the whole process will take time.
On the other hand, Imtiyaz is still finalizing the script and he has not finalized the star cast yet.
So there seems to be a deadlock between both the movies.
Personally, I want Anand’s movie to be released first.
Anushka is smart enough to know that if she worked with this buddha flop star then she eventually lost her position in Top 5 coz #SULTAN will cross the 200cr barrier even in worst case scenario but even with super+ve wom this Coward Khan’s Pankha failed to match or beat down TALAASH collections ?!
