Soulful melodies like ‘Tere Naam’ in Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

The music album of ‘Tere Naam’ is the most soulful album of Himesh Reshammiya’s career and arguably the best of the 2000s too.

The ace-music composer, who gave partially gave up his super-successful career as music director and singer to try his luck at acting, reunites with Salman Khan for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

A source close to the film has revealed that the 9-song music album will have traditional Barjatya feel and will mostly be soulful melodies, something that is rare in today’s times.

“Himesh Reshammiya has composed all nine songs on the album. They will have the traditional Barjatya touch and will mostly be soulful melodies. Himesh has roped in some of the best talents in the industry to sing his songs. He is making sure the album stands out, without any item numbers.” a source said.

He also added that the title track will be sung by two of the most popular songs of 90s and 2000s – Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu.

“Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu will sing the title track. Salman will lip sync to Sonu’s voice whereas Neil Nitin Mukesh will lip sync to Kumar’s. Also, Palak Muchhal will sing a romantic track that will have Sonam Kapoor and Salman romancing typical Barjatya style. There will be two soulful Sufi numbers – one sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali and the other by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.”

And guess what? Salman is in love with the music of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which releases in theatre during Diwali this year.

  • Bodyguard songs also good especially I Love You, Tere mere and title track. If songs are good atleast 5 song from PRDP then sky of the limit.

  • ohh seems to me prdp is getting bigger n better with each passing day
all the best to the whole barjatya team…but ma bet is on bb(it will gross more)..which ultimately will be surpassed by shahrukhs dilwale

  • @sunny chechi
Most people spend 200-300 rupees to watch Salman on the big screen, and most people prefer to watch Akshay movies for free on TV. Now who is more loved star?

  • Jai Ho Firat Week Collections > Entertainment Life Time Collections.

Kick Life Time Collections > Entertainment + Shaukeens + Baby Life Time Collections.

Now Decide Who is More Pupular. LOL. Sunny Chu. Chal Nikal.

  • @V.Shantaram :- Marigold + Mrs. Khanna + yuvvraaj+ heroes+veer+saawan <<<< Entertainment.
    Now who is more popular.

  • @V Shantram LolZ it’s just matter of time…2009 se pehle akki ki filmo ka 25% collection v nhi kr pati thi salman ki film…salman 1 film krta h jb jai ho ne holidy se km kmaayee !!!

@JS Beta qk wo 1 film krta h wo v eid pe…dekha na jb eid nhi mili toh jai ho flop ab bolo

  • @Pathan : You need treatment !!!! It was Sajid Wajid who gave music for Jai Ho album. Himesh only sang one song (Photocopy) in Jai Ho !!!!!

  • @sunny chechi : Akshay is one of the dedicated actor but exhibitors cant get a holiday release for his movies?? why ?? No matter what Akshay will be always behind Salman in stardom.

@Baap of Khans : In 1994 Akki did 11 movies n hardly one hit among it. So if I start adding those collections of 11 movies still it wont be able to beat HAHK lifetime collections which was released in same year !!!!!!!

  • @indicine plz correct. Jannat was the best album of 2000s. Almost every emraan film of that decade had the best album of that respective year from murder to ouatim to jannat2.

  • O yes we srk fans dont like melodious songs or nor those kind of films prdp ,we only like lungi nd dhoti or chadi songs as it suits our srk image not those classic types music thank god indicine has updated ths now we could save our mb data from not downloading.

  • Although, Tere Naam had good music, it doesn’t come in my fav albums of 2000s:
here are my favs in no order
    Veer Zaara
    Devdas
    Dhadkan
    Gangster
    Jannat
    Life in a Metro
    Om Shaanti Om
    Rab Ne Bana di jodi
    Fanaa
    Kal Ho Naa Ho
    kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

  • @nipun TERE NAAM’s opening was much bigger than papa directed koi mil gaya or any other film released in 2003. Its just that a sad ending to a salman khan film curtailed its run

  • Why doesnt KRK do us all a favour and thats to leave India aswell as take his apprentice nipun kumar with him..,

Im sick n tired seeing his crappy lists which are never in any particular chronological order… Noone does a worthless meaningless list as effectively as our not so smart wannabe strict like rajeev masand but looking like anupama chopra critik nipun kumar…! He has perfected the art of writing irrelevant lists…

  • OMG cant believe it but the whos who of the singers fraternity are going to be here but looking forward to Rahet ji the most- excited about Sonu n Kumar getting to sing together so hoping for a top rate album…!

  • Look at this bakra masquerading around here as bhais fan- what an imbecile- before questioning the english standards of others take a closer look at your hyderabadi engineering genius Complan Boy…. His english or lack off will make you question the suitability of his former teachers being eligible to carry on teaching if thats the end result of their teaching methods….!

  • @nipun kumar

You irritatant- just for the record best album of the noughties IMO was Mohabbatein… Ahead of tere naam n many others- some amazing choreographed songs with beautiful picturisation and Aishwarya Rai at her elegant best in the opening sequence of the ‘Aankhein Khuli’ song- he way she sways through the background dancers to get near King was well shot n she looked drop dead gorgeous…!

You annoyed me with your crappy list when you missed out the number one best album according to me.

  • @Purohit lol, why did rakesh and jadoo manipulate K3 collection? Which is blockbuster sequel and much hype but collection less then YJHD.

  • 9/10 whatever song can’t save the film from becoming big disaster like mamk.because WE youth don’t want these kind if over emotional with one statue bhai movie with wannabe irritated extra slow songs.only oldies like our complan Auncle only can like these kind of film.even bhojpuri youth also will not like thisbcrapna sthey like tapori kind movie s,so if it will successfully beat ready’s record then that’ll be a great achievement for our south copy paste star, lol.
