One of India’s leading e-commerce websites, Snapdeal, has distanced itself from its brand ambassador Aamir Khan’s comments on ‘intolerance’ that led to his wife ‘wanting to leave the country’.
In a statement released to the media, Snapdeal called itself a proud Indian company and said it was neither connected nor plays a role in comments made by Aamir.
“Snapdeal is neither connected nor plays a role in comments made by Aamir Khan in his personal capacity. Snapdeal is a proud Indian company built by passionate young Indians focused on building an inclusive digital India. Everyday we are positively impacting thousands of small businesses and millions of consumers in India. We will continue towards our mission of creating one million successful online entrepreneurs in India” the statement read.
Thousands of people have not only been uninstalling Snapdeal from their mobile devices, but also asking their family and friends to do so. In fact, the Snapdeal app on the Google Play Store has received nearly 30,000 negative reviews in the last 48 hours, with users dropping comments asking Snapdeal to remove Aamir as the brand ambassador.

This is too much, People might have gone berserk. Snapdeal and Aamir both are Indian, irony is that People are creating negativity for Snap deal but not for Central government. They should know Aamir is brand ambassador of Incredible India and Swacha Bharat Abhiyan. Let’s stars to give negative rating to Central government and Kick modi out of India. Pakistan would be safe place for Modi and government as it is for Aamir & Srk as per BJP spokesperson. Really Incredible India. This Drama shows that Actor is just an Actor he deliver infront of camera only the thoughts and intelligence of writer director. He himself not that superior. Sarfrosh, Lagaan, Tare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots & PK all are only the visions of Directors and Writers, there is no concern with Actors Intelligence. How brave he and his family is the proof of his statement.

First thing what i dislike in aamir’s interview that he is telling that returing award is non violent so its right. But my question is what is connection in returning award and intolerence? what is effect of this process on government? how india or award organizers are responsable for intolerence ?

Positive sign from this whole ghatna is peoples inspiring from aamir statement that they returning/ uninstalling snapdeal app, this is also non violence method to protest.
Uninstalling Snapdeal app or rating it low on the playstore is just foolishness.

Even I heard this news that around 60% snapdeal users have uninstalled snapdeal because of Aamir’s statement. Well what goes around comes around, Indian public in general don’t like anti national statements or where people who earned name, fame, money everything accuses India of being intolerant. Many will boycott Aamir movies now, I’m one of them.

Ask that exhibitor(whose livelihood depends upon Amir’s blockbuster) if he will refuse Amir’s movie in his theatre.

I am an ordinary Indian citizen and an avid movie-goer. You are a superstar in a country where the majority of movie-goers are Hindu. For years, we have spent our money to buy tickets for your movies. It is our money that has made you what you are today.
We clapped when as ACP Ajay Rathore, you destroyed a sweet-talking Gulfam Khan in Sarfarosh. We cheered when as Bhuvan, you played the winning shot in Lagaan. We cried when as a sensitive art teacher, you made us root for Ishaan Awasthi in Taarey Zamin Par.
A couple of generations before you, an Yusouf Khan had to become a Dilip Kumar to be accepted and a Mahajabeen Bano had to reinvent herself as Meena Kumari. Not you though. Neither you, nor your contemporaries had to hide your identity to be successful.
You became a star in a new India. An India, where only your first name mattered. We loved you because you were Aamir, a brilliant actor. Neither your last name mattered to us, nor your faith.
But yesterday, you proved to us that for you and your wife at least , it is your last name that matters more than anything else.
Your name is Khan and you Sir, are a hypocrite.
You did not scream intolerance when your city burned at the hands of some of your co-religionists. Your wife did not feel insecure when a mammoth crowd of some of your co-religionists attended the funeral of a hanged terrorist. But I am not going to do that. As a tolerant Indian, the only thing I can and WILL do is to make sure that not even one rupee of my hard-earned money goes towards buying tickets for your movies.

Some peoples misunderstand aamir statement on tolerence and they are welcoming him by saying- welcome in pakistan your muslim brother will love you.
He didn’t said that he or his wife is feeling insecure because of hindus. His wife herself is hindu and she stick with her name kiran mind it. Minority is not respecting our hindu culture in india thats why this whole tolerence and intolerence issue happening. They should respect this country and its incredible culture. Aamir should clarify his statements over tolerence.
