Singham Returns has collected more than this week’s release ‘Mardaani’ on its 9th day at the domestic box office. The film has collected Rs 4.94 crore on its 2nd Saturday to take its grand total to 120.84 cr.
Overall, the film has been fairly liked. The lack of repeat-value could be one of the reasons why the Rohit Shetty film has shown bigger drops after a fantastic weekend at the box office.
Even though Singham Returns had a record-breaking opening day, it’s lifetime business would be less than the first week collections of Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 and Kick.
It remains to be if Singham Returns can go past the lifetime business of Dabangg (2010) and Bodyguard (2012). Dabangg 2 is out of reach now, as the Ajay Devgn is likely to finish below the 150 cr mark.

Ajay Devgn and Kareena couldn’t get their star power to pull in audience in a sequel to one of the most watched movie on TV.
Even if we had a few holidays, like Kick, CE or Dhoom3 had, it would still have collected around 80 cr.
It means, Ajay Devgn can guarantee around 40-50 cr.
