Claiming that Sikhs were being shown in a bad light in the film “Son of Sardar”, the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has urged the clergy to take action against actor-producer Ajay Devgn.
In a letter to Akal Takht head Gurbachan Singh, AISSF president Karnail Singh demanded action against Devgn for hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs.
The Akal Takht is the highest temporal seat of the Sikh religion.
Karnail Singh Tuesday said the film, to be released in November, had blasphemous remarks against Sikhs.
AISSF has sought registration of a police case against the filmmakers.
“The film’s trailer has demeaning dialogues,” Karnail Singh said.
“In the film, the lead actor wears a Sikh turban but has the tattoo of a Hindu god on his chest. This is against Sikh principles,” he said.
Karnail Singh said they had sent a legal notice to the filmmakers and asked to delete the objectionable scenes. But Devgn had not responded to the notice, he said.

I really don’t want SOS to face any trouble but I cannot disagree with Karnail Singh.He got a point,Sikhs might be demeaned bysome dialogues and Ajay’s tattoo.
It’ll surely affect its collection from Punjab.

This comment in the trailer is offensive, “teri maa di .. teri bain di … yeh duniya ko hamne ‘sikh’aayaa”. This comment in the film does show Sikhs in bad light. These gaalis may have originated in wider day to day Punjabi culture (hindus, muslims & sikhs) but these gaalis did not originate from Sikhism — why connect them to Sikhism. Sikhism is a faith, while Punjabi is a language and culture. Can they not distinguish between the two. That comment should be removed or changed in the movie.

What kind of comparison is this?? you comparing Ajay devgan with King khan???. Remember what happend to Jaaneman movie when it released on the same day of SRK’s DON??. Both Salman khan and Akshay kumar in the movie cant able to save it!!
My suggession to Ajay is, if anyone tells you Tsunami will come on NOV 13th, you should not do a test drive near by that area!!! King khan movie is like a Tsunami!!

Has warned to the theather & multiplex owners thad if they don’t offer same screen space for SOS on divali they would not release their upcoming movies Oh my god, aaiya, chakravyuv films in those theaters and multiplexes
