Bipasha Basu is cast in an intriguing role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Siddharth Anand’s next Yash Raj film. Deepika Padukone plays Ranbir Kapoor’s love in the movie.
Siddharth Anand is trying hard to keep the cast of his next Yash Raj film under wraps as the young director is not allowed to talk about his next film as yet. However, the news is that Ranbir Kapoor will be romancing Deepika Padukone in Siddharth’s new film. This film is Ranbir’s as well as Deepika’s second film post their debut films- Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saanwariya and Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om, respectively.
Even though both Ranbir and Deepika are under exclusive contracts (until their debut films release) with Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, respectively, the news is that the newcomers have been given a go-ahead from both the quarters.
Says a source, “Neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Bhansali wanted to bind down the two youngsters. They were more than willing gave their consent to let the two debutantes come together for their second film.”
More interestingly Bipasha Basu is also cast opposite Ranbir in an intriguing role.
Although the actress isn’t allowed to comment on this unique casting strategy, it’s believed that Ranbir shares the kind of crush-mush bonding with Bipasha that Dustin Hoffman shared with Anne Brancoft many years ago in The Graduate.
