Yash Raj Films’ FAN is getting more interesting with each passing day, as Shahrukh Khan has announced that he will be playing the role of a 17-year-old in the Maneesh Sharma directed film.
Talking to reporters from the sets of ‘India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun’, the superstar said “The film (FAN) is very different. I will be playing 17 years old and I’ll take some help to do it. Perhaps with prosthetics, makeup or VFX”
While Shahrukh has been seen romancing heroines almost half his age, the 35-year-old former super model Waluscha De Sousa has been cast to play the lead in FAN. (article continued after the image)

When asked if he has made a conscious decision to cast heroines closer to his age, SRK said “Yes, Waluscha is in the film. More than age-appropriate heroines, it’s normally character-appropriate casting. What you actually have to understand is, mostly, for films that are not driven by commercial aspect, they are character-appropriate casting”
First announced to release in theatres during the Independence Day weekend, YRF’s FAN has now been postponed to a later date. The reason cited for the delay is ‘never before seen VFX’.
Shahrukh will be playing a 17 year old teenager as well as a mega star in the film.
I was’nt that excited for FAN initially as i have’nt liked Manish sharma’s previous films but now it is indeed looking interesting and “Content Rich”..Hope whenever it comes it leaves a long lasting impression..

He wasn’t speaking about fan. He was speaking hypothetically about playing a 17 yr old. He meant if he wanted to play a 17 yr old in his next film he could.
perhaps this is movie is about the mad adulation that we pour on our superstars.and may be at the end of the movie the message will be that every man is a superstar in his own way.thats just a guess.

FYI he has taken a pledge on the occasion of International Women’s Day and says henceforth in all his films, the leading actress’ name would appear before his in the credits.
