Shaadi Ke Side Effects Box Office Opening

Shaadi Ke Side Effects has taken a slow start at the domestic box office on Friday. Morning shows at multiplexes in New Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon were around the 40% mark. Occupancy at Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore was around the 20 – 30% range, which is poor as the trade expected a better opening from a film starring Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan.

Noon shows have picked up, but the occupancy is only slightly higher than Hasee Toh Phasee which collected around 4.5 crore on its opening day.

If the growth in business is similar to Hasee Toh Phasee and Highway, Shaadi Ke Side Effects is likely to collect around 5.5 crore on its opening day. But if evening / night shows show better growth, then the film could touch / cross the 6 crore mark. The Asia Cup cricket match between India and Sri Lanka could have an impact on business too.
