The list of nominations for Life Ok Screen Awards 2015 is out. The nominations for the Best Actor award are Aamir Khan (PK), Hrithik Roshan (Bang Bang), Varun Dhawan (Humpty Sharma), Shahrukh Khan (Happy New Year), Shahid Kapoor (Haider), Sanjay Mishra (Ankhon Dekhi) and Randeep Hooda (Highway). The popular actors to miss out are Salman Khan (Kick) and Akshay Kumar (Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty).
Moving on to the Best Actress Screen Award nominations, Parineeti Chopra (a highly underrated performance of 2014) gets her well-deserved nomination. Deepika Padukone has been nominated for Finding Fanny, Kangana Ranaut for Queen, Rani for Mardaani, Priyanka for Mary Kom and Alia for Highway.
The leading contenders for the Best Director will be Rajkumar Hirani (PK), Vishal Bhardwaj (Haider) and Vikas Bahl (Queen).
Queen has received 10 nominations, Haider – Mardaani – Highway all get 8 nominations each, Kick has 7, PK has just 3 (surprisingly the film hasn’t been nominated for Best Screenplay, supporting roles, lyrics or background score – we thought the background music lifted several scenes in the film). Happy New Year gets 5 nominations, Mary Kom gets 7, Ugly (a film that not many watched) has 8 nominations and 7 for Ankhon Dekhi.

Screen award made a better nomination than any award function so far.
The best ensemble cast should go to haider.It has powerhouse of acting like tabbu,kk Menon,irfan khan etc.Shahid did brilliant work. I wish he will get all best actor award as apart for Aamir no one is challenging him. but he don’t attend awards.So shahid should win.
People are surprise why Salman not nominated for kick or other film.Reason is when organisers giving awards to Salman for dabangg,Dabamgg 2,bodyguard etc for popular category.Salman didn’t went to collect them despite being present there,performed there.
But I don’t understand why Akki not nominated for Holiday,he was any day better than srk,hr and salman this year in that performance.Pk got only 3 nomination, it surely get more nomination like queen,haider had.
@yuvraj irony is that you found jai ho,kick perfect or best this year but you found pk defective or faulty.Whom you are fooling.Say simple you don’t liked pk as it not Salman starrer.Why insulting a well made film pk by saying jai ho and kick had no or less flaws than pk.

@Goutam, I personally Found BangBang music better than HNY music! What’s wrong? If not BB,there were albums HTP and 2 states who deserved to nominated in place of HNY music.
As far as best actor catagory is concerned, I feel SRK didn’t deserve nominations as there were better candidates. As for Hrithik, I feel Hrithik’s performance was 2nd best superstar performance of 2014 after Amir. Although,I admit there were better candidate in terms of pure acting eg. RajKumar Rao,Sharib Hashmi etc.
Why not Mohd Irfan in Best Playback Singer Male Category? He is the voice behind the success of 3 biggest music albums of 2014.. Yaariyan (baarish) the Xpose(dard dilo ke) and Ek Villian (Banjara).. He deserves the best playback singer male award..

But you can do the same without degrading others! It’s not necessary to put someone down just because you want to prove Hrithik superior.
The problem is not only with SRK and Hrithik. In other cases also you try to prove your star on top despite of knowing that he is not in actual. The best example is your previous comment where you said “I will place Benny Dayal for Tu meri over Mika Singh” . But even you know it very well that “Lat lag gayi” of Benny was much better than Tu meri , but that song didn’t get any nominations that year.
In the same way you told Hrithik’s performance was second best after Amir though you liked the performances of Rajkumar Yadav etc. Really?? Don’t you think Shahid in Haider was much better than Hrithik of Bang Bang?? Or somewhere you are insecure that Shahid’s haider clashed with Bang Bang and it dented the collections of Bang Bang??

@Goutam: Haha. . Did I say that Hro in Bang Bang was better than Shahid in Haider? I said that Hrithik is the 2nd best performer of the year after Amir among “SUPERSTARS” . Shahid hasn’t become a superstar yet. There are 7 superstars in B’town in this Generation viz Khans,HR,Akki,Ajay and may be Ranbir too. Isn’t it? So, The best superstar performance of the year for me was from Amir followed by Hro,Akki/Ajay and Salman/SRK. Srk was not bad in HNY. BT the movie didn’t allow him to perform !
And, Benny Dayal has sung BB title track,not Tu Meri. Listen to the track. You will know how nicely he has sung.
And Benny deserved a nomination. He was great in Locha-U-Lafta too.

For example in 3i there are theme to chase excellence not success while chatur doing that.But in the movie they told that even chatur had very growing career though not brilliant as Rancho.Other thing despite being Raju a engineer and blog writer so if Aamir character funshukh wangdoo was too much in demand than how came he don’t know about him.Remember Raju ask to chatur “ye wangdu kaun h”
In lage raho munnabhai Sanjay told his secret that he sees Gandhi to boman despite knowing they were fighting for that bungalow.Is that practical that someone tell his enemy any of his secret.
Don’t judge a film to this logic,not a single film is perfect.Neither any earlier Aamir film.And if guy like you who hate quality icecream don’t look genuine if you reject a well made film with just silly flaws.
Yes pk is not a perfect movie but I don’t remember any perfect film ever in my life. Pk even not close to munnabhai or 3i but still better than any big commercial film of this year.That’s a fact and its box office performance shows. And don’t say because it had double ticket rates than kick as I had seen jai ho at same cost which j had seen dhoom 3 in single screens.And pk is 20 rs higher than kick in multiplex.I had seen kick by paying 200 bucks while pk 220 bucks.
