Screen Awards 2015 Nominations

The list of nominations for Life Ok Screen Awards 2015 is out. The nominations for the Best Actor award are Aamir Khan (PK), Hrithik Roshan (Bang Bang), Varun Dhawan (Humpty Sharma), Shahrukh Khan (Happy New Year), Shahid Kapoor (Haider), Sanjay Mishra (Ankhon Dekhi) and Randeep Hooda (Highway). The popular actors to miss out are Salman Khan (Kick) and Akshay Kumar (Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty).

Moving on to the Best Actress Screen Award nominations, Parineeti Chopra (a highly underrated performance of 2014) gets her well-deserved nomination. Deepika Padukone has been nominated for Finding Fanny, Kangana Ranaut for Queen, Rani for Mardaani, Priyanka for Mary Kom and Alia for Highway.

The leading contenders for the Best Director will be Rajkumar Hirani (PK), Vishal Bhardwaj (Haider) and Vikas Bahl (Queen).

Queen has received 10 nominations, Haider – Mardaani – Highway all get 8 nominations each, Kick has 7, PK has just 3 (surprisingly the film hasn’t been nominated for Best Screenplay, supporting roles, lyrics or background score – we thought the background music lifted several scenes in the film).  Happy New Year gets 5 nominations, Mary Kom gets 7,  Ugly (a film that not many watched) has 8 nominations and 7 for Ankhon Dekhi.

  • Good to see Varun got nomination fr best actor. dnt understand y dey nominate Sarook either evryone knw he dnt buy dis tym bst actor award so he paid for only nomination. waah ree kingu jiii

  • please in what way does srk’s performances in hny better than akki in holiday and salman in kick. these awards are really unbelievable .Srk can appear in one scene and put his finger into his mouth and he will be nominated. They are literally worshiping him. I will only watch the award show that is honest enough and omit srk.No wonder aamir never attends. Several srk fans who are my friends cringe when they see these.

  • Freddy Daruwala, the villain of Holiday gets the nomination for best newcomer..he was really pathetic in that film while Akshay Kumar is being ignored..

Happy New Year did’nt desrved 5 nominations
HNY did’nt deserved best music and best choreography category nominations even if i somehow agree with the inclusion of srk for the best actor award.

  • Akki and Salman khan are deserve for nominations best actor.
I’m no wonder because all fake awards for our richest star.

  • Far Better than Stardust and Big star entertainment award and better than the star guild too.
I would replace HNY music by BangBang music.

Happy that Rekha Bharadwaj has been nominated for Hamari Atariya pe from Dedh Ishqiyaa. Best director catagory is almost perfect.

  • @babaji
one thing I want to tell u plz don’t care about awards….
    it hurt sometimes….
    skip it….
    just watch for fun…

  • Agreed with the nominations…though I dont understand y organisers are scared of giving away the prizes to aamir.. if he doesnt accept. .its his will.
Organisers should just play deir part honestly.
i will go wid shahid kapoor followed by aamir foh best actor.
Parineeti for hasee to phasi followed by kangana for queen.. I wasnt impressed much by rani..still the movie was good…havnt seen mary kom yet

  • i agree with a. sanchez best movies i have seen in 2014 first kick second jai ho third holiday. pk had many faults in scripts and srk is worst choice in whole nomination. how can anybody like hny?

  • I would replace SRK in hny by akki in Holiday. Is it always necessary to include “Big” over “better” . Look, Manwa lage choreography has been nominated. Also, I would Replace Mika Singh by Benny Dayal in BangBang title track or Sukhwindar Singh in Bismil.

  • Bakwas bandkar… I know it’s all fake awards… In this country national awards and filmfare awards are genuine… Waiting for shamitabh…

  • Can’t understand why MaryKom is getting so many nomnations in every award function!!!
It was a strictly avg. film..
Every biopic film made is’nt a great one,I hope the jury get this in their brain.

  • I’m damm sure farah win national award best director for hny.lol D. D.
Waiting for filmfare awards and IFFA.

  • @Nipun: You tell you are not biased towards Hrithik and you always give your honest opinion but many times I feel you are too much biased towards Hrithik.
First let me clear one thing that I’m not a Hrithik hater and I respect him as much as you do.
Coming to the article, can you tell me one reason , in what aspect Bang Bang music is better than HNY??
On other day , some other article was there, for best actor/actress nomination. There also you told SRK doesn’t deserve to be in the list .
For me, both SRK and Hrithik doesn’t deserve to be nominated in any category and so is Salman. They had nothing much to do in their respective roles instead of some fight scenes and some dance sequences. We had many spectacular performances this year including Amir in PK and Shahid in Haider. As an SRK fan I’m accepting it publically that SRK doesn’t deserve to be nominated, still I don’t know why his name is there under nominations. But I have the same view about Hrithik also. And you know, what proves your biasedness towards Hrithik??
When both SRK and Hrithik are there in the list , but you only raise your eyebrows for SRK’s presence, that proves everything .

  • @baba..best actor award for Salman and Akki.. u must be joking…
pray god ,to show that once in your lifetime .
Filmfare and national ….may be in next birth….

  • Wow! King nominated again although everybody knows the reason behind this our king’s money. King is the 2nd richest man of world.

  • better than other award nomination. but in actor category I’m not satisfied, srk and hritik should be replaced by Arjun kapoor. though shahid will win award for sure…

  • Very glad to see Jasmine Sandlas finally got nomination.
With out doubt she is the best playback singer female of the year. Her song Mar Jawaan was amazing.
What a vocal girl…hope she win.

  • Where’s PK nominations in except Best Actor, Best Director & Best Story category ? PK have to putting in all category except Debut category..
