Sanjay Dutt to make a film on jail cell-mate

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who will be a free man on February 27, has planned several films that he will produce once he is released from jail.

Apart from working closely on his biopic which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani and star Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, Dutt’s production house has registered three titles ‘Dutt’, ‘Colaba Heights’ and ‘Turung’.

One of those films is said to be about his cell-mate in jail.

“Sanjay is friends with most of his cell mates and when he heard the story of this particular inmate, it touched him to the core and he immediately decided to make a film on it. The man is behind the bars following a family dispute and a significant part of the film will be of him inside prison” a sourced informed a local daily.

The film, which will be based on a real-life incidents, and be produced under Dutt’s production house. The actor will hire a script writer for the film which will go on floors later this year.

“He is definitely not co-writing this one but will be actively involved with the scripting and production. The film will roll this year itself” the source said.

Sanjay will also be working closely with Rajkumar Hirani on the 3rd Munnabhai film.
