Munnabhai to begin in 2018, no role in my biopic: Sanjay Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who spoke to the media on his 57th birthday (on July 29), has said he would begin working on the 3rd Munnabhai film in 2018. The actor also confirmed that he won’t be making an appearance in his biopic and that he begins his film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra in November this year.

“My movie with Vinod Chopra sahab will start in November, it is called ‘Marco’. After that, I am doing a film with Mahesh Manjrekar, it is a remake of ‘De Dhakka’, and then there is a good line-up of movies. It (De Dhakka) is a family film and it’s about how a broken family reunites. He (Manjrekar) has adapted it well, let’s see what happens.”

The two biggest films of Dutt’s career have been Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munnabhai – so when is the 3rd film coming?

“In 2018 (we start)” Dutt says, before he was asked about the delay ”That you should ask Raju Hirani and Vinod sir. Even I am waiting for Munnabhai”

When asked about the Sanjay Dutt biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dutt said “First of all, I am not acting in it; I think it would be shot in February.”

Is he making a special appearance? ”I don’t know that I will ask Raju sir about it.” Dutt said.
