Sanjay Dutt has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment by the TADA court. The much loved bollywood superstar was in tears while the judge read out the verdict.
As much as Rs 60 crores is riding on Sanju. His pending films Dhamaal, Kidnap, Fraud and Alibaug will be affected. Also in the pipeline was the third installment in the Munnabhai series titled Munnabhai Chale Amrika which was delayed due to the delay in the court’s verdict.
It may be recalled that Sanjay Dutt had spent close to 16 months in jail during the year 1993 – 94.
So is this the end of his bollywood career? Well, we hope not.
A sad day for the Bollywood film industry.

Dutt – “Could i call my daughter, Trishala?”
Judge – “Where is she?”
Dutt – “In New York”
Judge – “Be patient”
Dutt – “Can you grant me bail?”
Judge – “If it was a lesser crime I could, but in this case I don’t have the power to do so”
