Sanjay Dutt has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment by the TADA court. The much loved bollywood superstar was in tears while the judge read out the verdict.
As much as Rs 60 crores is riding on Sanju. His pending films Dhamaal, Kidnap, Fraud and Alibaug will be affected. Also in the pipeline was the third installment in the Munnabhai series titled Munnabhai Chale Amrika which was delayed due to the delay in the court’s verdict.
It may be recalled that Sanjay Dutt had spent close to 16 months in jail during the year 1993 – 94.
So is this the end of his bollywood career? Well, we hope not.
A sad day for the Bollywood film industry.
Update – Conversation with the judge after the verdict
Dutt – “Could i call my daughter, Trishala?”
Judge – “Where is she?”
Dutt – “In New York”
Judge – “Be patient”
Dutt – “Can you grant me bail?”
Judge – “If it was a lesser crime I could, but in this case I don’t have the power to do so”
The judge says he committed an imminently dangerous act.. Protecting the family is fine.. But doing it illegally is a crime.
Dont worry man. Brave it out. Ull be out of court soon. My prayer and well wishes are with you.

its a harsh judgement taking into consideration the fact that he has already spent 18 months in jail. But law is same to all. He will have to bear the consequences. We will miss your movies Mr Sanjay Dutt
This case was about 15 years old. Sanjay Dutt has been tortured from the last so many years and never committed any act against the law during the period. I think, he had already got enough punishment and learnt a good lesson. This extended six years imprisonment is really not a right verdict for him.
Finally Sanjay Dutt got what he deserved. But more importantly its a lesson to all the spoilt brats of the country and their parents, of how power, fame, glamour can kill society. Ah! whats the big deal if he has aleady 16 months or it was 15 years back. Going by your logic that makes him all the more criminal Why wasn’t the good boy Sanju Baba good enough to accept his crime then itself, instead of now, and happily go to jail. That proves that he tried to trick a poor nation for 15 more years to enjoy his glamourous life. And Suma – on your question of how can he be a threat – if he is left scot free today, the wagging tails of the Bollywood, the Powerful and The might would be even more conspicious in their indulgence and heinous acts.

the decision is definately harsh , but as long as india is with you , & the superpower God is with you , no jail can be an obstacle for Mr. Dutt

I being a star myself can only say one thing, this 6 years is too much for him. I personally think that 1 year imprisonment is the max one should give to Sanju, my dear friend.
Anyways, pls Indian People, protest against this. I am in Namibia now for my movie shooting so cant do much from here.

I know its hard for and on you. But this had to happen. As it is always said : “Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni”. Now that Saturn is in Leo, you will be facing more and more of frustrations, depressions, delay in decisions in your life. My small advise to you is wear a Rudraksha in the combination of 2-6-7 Mukhi. Pray, Pray and Pray. Thats all you have to do for the next 2 and half year and you will get the peace you desire. God be with you.

Very very sad news man… Makes me feel sad about it but also when i see the innocent deaths of people on 1993 blast makes me feel even worst… If you had a hand on it then i have nothing to say about ur sentenced…. but if u didn’t then may Allah help u out to get out of jail ASAP.
