Sanjay Dutt freed from jail for 30 days again

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been granted a month-long parole yet again by Pune’s Yerawada Jail. The parole was sanctioned by Pune’s Divisional Commissioner, even though the actor was on medical parole for the entire month of October.

On Oct 1 2013, Dutt was granted two weeks leave on medical grounds, which was later extended by another two weeks.

Before returning to jail on October 30, the actor had said “I still have a problem in my legs but it is a bit better than before. Pray for me so that I can come out soon. Happy Diwali to all.”

Sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail for illegally possessing arms that were connected to the 1993 Bombay Blasts, Dutt was convicted by the Supreme Court Of India.

  • Baba is innocent everybody knows that, that’s why he’s been granted a sick leave in a medical ground. He will eventually complete his jail term., he is not allowed to do any shoot, shopping, party and business. He is in open arrest. God bless Sanju Baba.

  • What a mockery of the Indian Prison system. This can never happen elsewhere, a prisoner given vacation time. A parole means you’ve almost completed your term, released to the supervision of a parole officer!. You do not return to prison unless you break the terms of the parole.
