Salman Khan signs Rs 500 crore deal with Star India?
Times of India reports that Star India has signed a deal worth Rs 450 to 500 crore with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The contract is for the exclusive satellite rights of all Salman Khan films released between January 2013 to December 2017. What this effectively means is, all movies featuring Salman in the next 5 years would be exclusively premiered on Star channels (Star Plus, Star Gold etc).
While the terms and conditions of the deal are unlikely to be revealed, the average price per film is around Rs 45 – 50 crores, considering the fact that Khan has two movie releases every year.
A few of his upcoming films include; a film directed by Sohail Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick and No Entry Mein Entry (sequel to No Entry). Khan, sources say, is also keen on working with Sooraj Barjatya in a romantic film.

thats great news for the industry. But i think 500 cr for 4 year is little bit low. It should have been atleast 600 cr.

So finally star india have got the “GOLDEN GOOSE” of bollywood! The best thing about salman is that he is simply nonchalant about these things.

There won’t be 10 movies in these 5 years. 2013 only has “Mental”. 2014 will probably see “Kick” and “No Entry Mein Entry”. Then in next 3 years Bhai will not release 7 movies. So no of releases will be less than 10 and hence per film will be easily above 50 cr.

I think star tv is spending too much on salman. Its very risky for the following reasons
1) first of all no one knows when will salman khan will get arrested due to different legal cases.
2) Star tv should have seen his actual value before 3 years ie before wanted movie. No body was caring to watch salman khan movies. He had huge flop movies list.
Please reconsider star tv or else you will be bankrupt!!
