Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to produce the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 classic ‘Hero’. It will be the first film to be produced under the ‘Salman Khan Productions’ banner.
“Yes, I am very happy that ‘Hero’ is being remade and Salman and his team will certainly do a good job. The film will be directed by Nikhil Advani (director of Kal Ho Na Ho, D-Day) and will go on floors by early 2014,” said veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who directed the original ‘Hero’.
There are reports that Salman will also launch two new star kids with the film – Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty.
The 1983 film marked the acting debut of Jackie Shroff in a lead role. Meenakshi Sheshadri played the leading lady.
With the ‘Hero’ remake, Salman will finally kick-start his own production house after working in films produced by his brothers. While the actor will remain closely associated with both Arbaaz Khan Productions and Sohail Khan Productions, sources say, he has big plans for Salman Khan Productions.

What thakur of chennai failed to do with any of his remakes, that is equal or out do the brilliance of the original, bhai has completely outdone all the originals he remade and turned them into BB’s.

Ce is totaly an average film but it,s ahead of 3i for me because it,s not taken from any novel or even it,s not remake b town should stop doing remakes.
