Salman Khan acquitted in 1998 Blackbuck case

The Rajasthan High Court has acquitted Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

Salman had appealed before the high court challenging the lower court’s verdict that had handed him one and five years’ imprisonment, respectively, in the two separate cases of poaching.

The hearing was completed in these cases in the last week of May and the decision was reserved by the high court.

Khan and seven others were accused of killing a blackbuck and chinkara in two separate incidents while shooting for the film Hum Sath Sath Hain.

One of the animals was killed at Bhawad on the outskirts of Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, and the other at Ghoda Farms on September 28, 1998.

  • Congrats bhai.. Acquitted both in Poaching case and Hit and Run case.. Bhai enjoying best time of his life.. more than blockbuster, he’ll get more happiness from courts declaring him innocent.

Truth always prevails. Now noone should call him criminal.

  • First from Hit n Run… Now from this.. I have no no faith left in jurisdiction anymore.. Even a child knows he is guilty but Rules and Law only made for the Middle Class (Mango People).. PAISA BOLATA HAI..

  • First a huge ATBB in the form of #SULTAN and now this, Happy for Bhai !!!! Congrats all Bhai fans across the world !!!!

  • The comments of the hate-mongerers here on the acquittal expose their heinous intention of just getting Bhaijaan jailed no matter he actually committed the crime or not.

They just want Bhai to be jailed no matter what.
If Bhai was jailed, the court would be fair. Since he is acquitted, the judiciary is corrupt. Lol

  • For those people that are celebrating, please remember if anything like that happens to you and law supports the criminal, dont blame the law.
    Well money speaks. ..
    Big shame on indian judiciary

  • Just one question to the hate-mongerers,

If MONEY speaks so much, then why hasn’t Salman bought the lower courts that were easier to be bought and manipulated?

And Salman could have saved his name, time, effort and money as well.

  • Dont know what is worse: indian law getting him free or his fans celebrating. ..
Oh wait a minute: He runs “being human” so its all ok, uh?

  • In 1998, King Khan was busy delivering an epic cult ATBB with Karan Sir’s KKHH while on the other hand bhai was busy killing innocent blackbucks. Shame

  • On a serious note, ‘Harish Dulani’ , the main eye witness of this case initially recorded his statement against Salman saying Salman was directly involved in the killing.
Later he took his statement back and spoke in the favor of Salman.
Why did he take his statement back? Was he intimidated by D-Company (the natural ‘ally’ of Salman) or he was paid heavy bribe to keep his mouth shut?
And later he went on missing.
In fact, since last 16 years, there is no trace of him. Even his family members don’t know where has he gone (or they are pretending to be ignorant).
Was he financed by “Being inhuman” to settle down overseas or there is another conspiracy ?

Court and police should probe. First, Mr. Patil’s death (witness in hit-n-run case) and then the disappearance of Mr. Dulani, are these a mere coincidence?

  • One thing is very clear. The people who are commenting against Salman Khan over here are not doing it on social and moral grounds. They are just a bunch of bewildering srk and akki fans who want to see Salman behind the bars so that their star can top.
Let one thing be clear he will stay here and rule while you people can keep mongering.

  • I don’t know he is guilty or not …but now he is doing great job…for nation..! And his love towards the children, older people.
By being human trusty ..he save ..child..and provide everythink..what they need ..!! BEING HUMAN ( SALMAN KHAN )
    :)

  • @Anand 11:05 am : No body is questioning the decision of court. They are the ultimate authority to decide if a person is guilty or innocent and all those who swear allegiance to the constitution of India should refrain questioning the verdict of the court.
But People are questioning the way both the cases have been ‘managed’. Courts rely on the proofs which lawyers/officials produce against them, so even if a judge knows ‘XYZ’ is the real culprit, he can’t punish ‘XYZ’ until sufficient proofs are there against that person.
But the question is, who collects these proofs – Definitely not the judges of courts. These proofs are collected by subordinate police officials and other government servants and trust me, they are easily manageable.

  • Anyway, let’s respect the decision of court (no matter by whatsoever means it was achieved).
So hit-n-run is pending in supreme court and it’s almost confirmed that Rajasthan Govt , too, will move to Supreme court.
But by the time , supreme court takes the cognizance of these cases and starts their hearing, Aryan Khan would have been established himself as a superstar.
This is how our legal system works :-)
