In a bold statement to the media, actor Shahid Kapoor has slammed the superstars and producers of the industry for fudging box office collections of their films.
Shahid went on to say that one of the benefits of being a producer is to fudge collections of their own films, something that Salman doesn’t need to do because his films do so well at the box office.
“Have you seen the business Salman’s films do? He doesn’t have to fudge figures. Not everybody does it, but a lot of people do. I have never fudged my figures even now when people have asked me to. Why do it? No point, people know, industry knows, you know. Eventually, everybody gets to know, it’s very embarrassing”
Shahid’s last release ‘Haider’ has collected Rs 58.3 crore (official figure) at the domestic box office.
Hey stop bashing Shahid for speaking the truth, box office india shows the correct figures other sites push up collections on certain stars and for your information at the end of the day the smart ones knows that the taxes are paid by what Box Office India reports not the other sites. Completely with you. R Rajkumar was regressive. I havree no problem with masala movies as long as they aren’t regressive.
Frankly I stay remotely away from Prabhu Deva movies. Akki fans may not like this but Rowdy Rathore was also regressive. Akki calling Sonakshi as “Mera Maal” and stalking her was down right atrocious.
Same with R Rajkumar. One example was Sonakshi sinha willing to strip for Sonu Sood if he defeats shahid. I mean is this entertainment? These pathetic movies are shown on TV every other weekend.
I’d happily settle down for a Hrithik or Ranbir movie (except Besharam) even if they are accused of manipulation. At least they dont make regressive movies.

previous movie performance of that star…eg. jab we met , vivah, bhag milkha bhag etc ..such all great movies but look at happy new year, dhoom 3 , krish3 … below average movies getting huge collections….this will improve in future as audience gets matured…
