Salim Khan joins Twitter, says Bharat Mata Ki Jai

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan made his social media debut under the handle ‘@luvSalimKhan’.

The 80-year-old veteran script-writer was welcomed by his famous son, Salman, who said “Love you dad, welcome to twitter @luvsalimkhan”

Salim Khan’s first three tweets were on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement on ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

“Mohan Bhagwat has said we have to create an India so great that people will themselves say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'”

“Salaam Bhagwat Saab! Lot of people say with pride that they haven’t changed. That means they are not growing”

“Change is growth. Bharat Mata Ki Jai. -Luv, Salim Khan” the writer of epics like ‘Sholay’ tweeted.

His tweets were retweeted by Salman Khan.

  • Welcome Sir!!! You’re one of the most sensible person in Bollywood.
But he may leave twitter forever if he reads Bhaijaan’s dhansu tweets which he used to tweet earlier.?

  • Bharat Mata Ki Jai

    I think that

why have some Bharatiya problem in saying this slogan despite being a Bharatiya ?

I don’t think its needs but any Bharatiya shouldn’t have problems to say this slogan as well

Salute Salim Khan ji for this

In this article, hate comments to KHANS from me

    BHARAT MAATA KI JAI !

    BHARAT MAATA KI JAI !

  • The entire fuss regarding the slogan is so childish.Anybody who follows the Constitution and doesn’t indulge in unethical activities is a nationalist for me.Whether he chants any particular slogan or not shouldn’t bother us

  • @Challa.. the actual statement by Mohan Bhagwat was exactly what Salim Khan said “We have to create an India so great that people will themselves say Bharat Mata Ki Jai”

That comment was twisted and given a communal angle by Owaisi.. who said he won’t say Bharat Mata Ki Jai even if someone kept a knife to his throat.

From there the issue was blown out of proportion by the media.

If you don’t want to say it.. don’t say it.. but why say that you won’t say it during a rally where thousands of people were listening? This is how communal politics works in India.. Non-issue is made into a issue and then BJP government gets blamed..

  • Great gesture Mr. Khan.
Salim is the perfect example for those idiots, who hate the chants like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” etc just because they belong to a religion called “Muslim”.
Nationalism and patriotism is above all the cast, creed and religion.

  • @Mohit What Owassi said was absolutely rubbish and I am surprised some people do follow that stupid guy.
Mohan Bhagwat made this comment in reference to the anti-Indian slogan in Jnu and it was absolutely fine. But some over enthusiastic nationalist gave it an entirely different turn including Anupam and Ramdev for whom chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai is the only way by which you could prove your patriotism which is childish.

  • A country where you’re forced to say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” nowadays.
I agree with Mohan Bhagwat though.

  • I have no problem to say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” irrespective that Bharat Mata is RSS’ website’s one holding “Bhagwa Dwajj”.

  • there is no point in exaggerating this topic.
i am a muslim and i can say that anyday but believing its the way of showing patriotism towards your country is wrong. if i dont sing vande matram that doesnt mean i dont love my country.

  • @Challa : Well said !!! No one has to chant such things to prove your patriotism towards the country. There are thousands of people in India who chant such slogans still indulge in anti-nationalist activities !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Ish, even in english your home country is called motherland. Have you ever questioned why it’s not called fatherland? Idiot.
