Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who was criticised for her performance in ‘Half Girlfriend’, has begun working on one of her upcoming films where she plays Badminton champion Saina Nehwal.
Shraddha has begun training for badminton, under a senior coach of the Prakash Padukone Academy.
The film will be directed by Amol Gupte – who has previously directed films like Hawa Hawai, Stanley Ka Dabba and partially directed Taare Zameen Par before Aamir Khan took over the directorial reigns.
Amol was also credited as the writer of Taare Zameen Par and has acted in several other films.

He didnt direct TZP…. Aamir directed him throughout the project as Amol was incompetent n his recent efforts have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he lacked that midas touch…!
I am fed up of these biopics now. It is not necessary that life of every successful person should be dramatic but according Bollywood it is dramatic cause otherwise it will not make money.
Shraddha Kapoor has not done anything special in her career in terms of acting except Aashiqui 2 . She has given 3 back to back flops in the last 7 months . Haseena and Saina are extremely important for her . Both are women oriented movies and both are performance oriented movies where she will have to give her best . Amole Gupte is a very good actor and writer . But I hope he makes this film with authenticity because Saina Nehwal has been World Champion and Olympic Silver Medal winner . I hope this film makes a great impact just like BMB, Dangal and Sachin : A Billion Dreams and not like MSD : The Untold Story and Mary Kom which could have been better . Shraddha is getting a great opportunity and she should grab this with both hands . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gt little angree with new bt its ok as amol gupte is good director. Another thing nothing against shraddha bt they could choose a better actress. May be shraddha make ot finaciallly safer.
Why spend money training Shradda in badminton when they could have gotten Deepika to do that effortlessly for the role. Oops I forgot, the film producers can’t afford to pay Deepika. That’s called ‘superstardom’.
He had directed 90% of TZP until Tingu interfered and claimed to have directed the most.
This guy(Tingu) is the worst!!! The director himself revealed it.

first biopic which is being made on a real achiever saina nehwal otherwise rest of the biopics (except MSD & MILKHA SINGH} were based on underperformed whether it is dangal or azhar hope it books gandhi jayanti weekend for 2018
