Sachin Tendulkar Biopic: First Look Poster

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has announced that a film will be made on his life. Titled ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, the biopic will be directed by James Erksine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures.

The teaser of the film will be out on April 14 – which makes us wonder why the makers aren’t unveiling the teaser on April 24, Sachin’s birthday.

The only sportsman to be honoured with India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, Sachin announced the film on Twitter ”Thank you for all the love and support over the years! Watch the #SRTteaseron14thApril at 1 PM on @SachinTheFilm”

Shah Rukh Khan was the first to respond to the announcement, he said “This one I have to watch. Show me NA soon my friend.”

For which Sachin replied ”Definitely @iamsrk par pehle @FanTheFilm ki baari hain….Dil se!!”

The music of the Sachin Tendulkar biopic will be composed by A.R. Rahman.

  • You’re the reason along with Dravid why I started watching and loving cricket.
You may not be a part of Indian team anymore but you will always stay in our hearts and memories. In india you don’t want to be a cricketer but be Sachin Tendulkar.
The greatest, most humble and most dedicated sportsman our nation has ever seen.
Wish the biopic becomes as successful as your incredible career.
    All the best.

  • Cricketers and Bollywood equivalents:
    Srk : Sachin
Have been at the top of the game and consistent for more than two decades.Rarely seen a rough patch.
    Huge success even in overseas.

    Aamir:Dravid
The most respected and soft spoken idols of their respective professions. One personality changed the phase of Indian cinema and the other brought back the old charm of Test cricket.

    Akshsy:Sehwag

Both hugely talented and loved by masses.Couldn’t achieve the pinnacle of respective profession but will always be remembered for the sheer entertainment they provided.Only problem has been their inconsistency.

    Salman:Shikhar dhawan
Both of them are technically quite weak. One struggles against quality pace bowling while the other shivers when he has to act in a performance oriented movie. Both made their respective debut in 2010 and doing well since then.

  • This has to be the BAAP of all cricket related biopics. As huge a cricketer and a Mega Legend Sachin is, wish this bopic will have been played by the great SRK himself.

Anybody remember that old Pepsi advertisement of Sachin and SRK in which SRK becomes a Sachin lookalike and enters in the cricketers dressing room chasing Pepsi? Rahul, Azhar and Ganguly were in that add too. But the best part was the one in which Sachin snatches the Pepsi from SRK and hands him over the bat.

And Sachin Sir thank u so much by saying kai pehlai Fan ki baari hai. SRK have huge number of fans in India but Sachin has the entire India as his fan.

  • Big deal.

Make a movie on kapil dev.

In a nation starved of fast bowlers, the real athletes of cricket, promotion of their skills is necessary.

No one cares if some dwarf wearing one underwear for 100 days scored 10,000 runs on flat dead wickets of india.
