Really people; you cannot be waiting for all the movies to be with extreme fx, cars, explosions, fights, sex and technology. This is a movie where all the details are carefully placed with harmony. Music and images are beautiful. Some people do not get this kind of movies; that’s fine, I guess not all movies are made for all kind of people. But for people who do know and appreciate art, music, photography, dance and a good story, this is a work of art. Believe me I do know what I’m talking about. If you are in the music business or have experience with music production, you know and understand these kind of elaborated pieces. Some of the songs like “Chhabeela”, “Jaan-E-Jaan” or “Yoon Shabnami” have exceptional arrangements and the hindu instruments are placed with great expertise and balance with the classical instruments. You will enjoy this songs if you know, really know about music. “The movie will mark your heart forever if you understand art beyond the plastic industry”.

I want to read this comment by Ranbir kapoor-hi, u have not work well in this movie,because it was over acting ,if u act by urself not mimic others then i am sure u will be a best actor- so pls act as u like not try to copy others acting.

Well I’ve read most of the comments, some say it was awesome, some say it was awful.
I think that although it was hilarious to watch, it is very, very different from other Hindi movies.
There are many layers beneath this story. You just have to open your eyes and mind.
The actors, especially Ranbir Kapoor, did an excellent job. Although Raj was too good-natured for his own good.
The songs were incredibly good. So was the dancing.
I’d watch the movie over and over just for the songs and dance moves.
Not a spectacular movie, but it was beautiful in a strange way.

I just shut my eyes and didn’t read all the comments above except the review. Just don’t understand yet.. a movie which I considered while watching it ( BEST OF SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI) and was amazed by the direction and the great cinematography, amazed and my heart was beating while listening to a great. great. music, this movie which I’ve seen ( 3 times) in cinema.. how could it be – boring – for some people?? How people couldn’t evaluate this great job?? How couldn’t people feel the magical hand which made this movie?? How.. How.. How??

Just got nothing to say except: Definetly who wrote the above review, and people whom considered the movie ( a bore) were blind while wathcing it!! or they never sense the beauty of anyting, and only – masala – movies, stupid comedies would interest them.
SLB deserves best director award with Aamir Khan for TZP, with SRK for Chakde India. I never admired Mr. Bhansali, before but admired him (only) after watching Saawariya.

I absolutely love this movie, I think it’s different from the “usual” indian movies. The scenery is great, costumes are fantastic and actors are brilliant! All in all I think it’s a very emotional movie!

i think the movie was ok

its the first movie for the new comers so i didn’t keep my expectation high
but the two new comers were very adorable
sonam had a very cute smile and talent and Ranbir has great talent these two are gonna go long way. This was not the best movie but u also hav to remember that its the first movie for these 2 new comers. I don’t blame the actor i blame Sanjay Leela Bhansali. WTF were u thinkin? i like the actors and actresses actin but the story line, well there are no words to expain how bad the story line is so i not even gonna try.

I personnaly felt that the movie did not meet up to my expectation. It could be that I had too much of a high expectation since it was directed by SLB. Though, I did like the songs. I think what made me watch the movie in the theatre are the songs. The trailer made it seem like it was a great movie but then again the trailers are always made that way. I watched OSO as well, I did not like that movie either but it was a bit more appealing because of its humours. It was a lot livelier than Saawariya that is for sure. I understand that the RK and SK’s characters had to meet at night but it does not stop them to interact with other characters during day light. They did not have a condition that they need to interact with everyone at night. The theatre becomes dark itself when the movie starts and if there is no light in the movie than obviously viewers are going to start to be agitated. I guess the main reason for this movie is to launch the new stars which I found were good. Salman looks awful wearing eye liner, I mean who is trying to be, Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean. I am sorry but not all guys look good wearing eye liner, it made his big eyes pop out even more. Anyway, all together Saawariya is not a movie that one can watch at the theatre but to watch at home where there is an option to pause and stretch before enduring rest of the movie.

Looks like the ppl writing review don’t have any ideas about movies….:angry: they are sooooo f***ed up with their own stupid ideas….. guys… Sawariya is not a regular movie…. didn’t you notice… its an art movie… this movie is not comparable….. its different… there hasn’t any movie created to match with this one… its not those regular movies that we get to watch every time….. well… I think its a really brilliant piece of art that Bansali created….. You should watch the movie yourself to know what the movie was all about….. ppl are just too insensitive to feel anything…. or maybe they watch movie just to laugh and dance…….. so immature… where has the value of movie or film gone???….. =((

This movie has invited two extreme set of comments. I read this review at Sachiniti which is good.

‘Saawariya’ may be liked by people who like art films & also Ranbir n Sonam …But as a matter of fact , theres nothing entertaining in the movie. For a movie buff like me , it was jus a hell of an experience watchin it..Towards the end , i removed my watch and try to check whether its working or not..!
Luckily i didn waste money on to a theater (Thanks to this website , specially Syed Jawahar) so i downloaded it from the internet …But sadly , the movie wasnt even worth watchin for free. .. :( ….

One suggestion to all masala movie lovers…. If u have trouble sleepin at night , watch this movie…Am sure its a great lullaby & u’ll go to sleep maybe even before the intermission .

Hope Ranbir & Sonam go by the script for their next film , not by the director…

The songs,The movie,the set,the actors..everything was perfect.It had a story(not a very lenghty story but still enjoyable)….I loved it…Watching Saawariya is not at all a loss to anyone.

Why OSO?Ghost in 20th century?Will any one believe it…

Saawariya was superb.There was a variety.Instead of moving frm sets to sets they completed the whole movie in a single set which was superb.

No one should ever say any thing dissappoing abt any movie.It will prevent people frm watching the movie.Saawariya is a good movie.Ranbir and Sonam have a great future.

I heard many bad comments abt saawariya aft its release on 8th nov.But I loved the songs and Sanjays movie.So We went to see the movie on 11th Nov.But it was not at all a waste.Saawariya is cool….

People pls dont insult anyone….Syed Jawahar -u r irritating.Affronting people is not at all intresting.

People go and see Saawariya..but dont expect an emotional drama but 3-4 days in the life of 2 people
.This is not boring.Sanjay created the movie as beautiful as it can be evr made.Dont compare the set to reality.Just enjoy and get involved in it.Saawriys is a gooood mooovie….. :bow:
