Rustom has collected around 18.5 crore on Sunday, as per early estimates. The film continued to do well at multiplexes and was also the first choice for movie goers across the country.
The first weekend business of around 49 crore has ensured that the film is a box office hit. Depending on how much the Mumbai circuit has performed on Sunday, the film could get through closer to the 50 crore weekend mark, which would mean the difference between Rustom and Mohenjo Daro has now swelled up to nearly 20 crores.
When you consider the fact that Mohenjo Daro needed nearly double the collections of Rustom, it shows the extent to which the Akshay Kumar starrer has dominated the other release this week.
The film has one more big holiday (Independence Day). The kind of number it can put up today, along with the hold on Tuesday will decided if Rustom will be Akshay Kumar’s third 100 crore grosser – a feat that no actor has achieved so far in the industry.
Our final LBO prediction for Rustom is Rs 102 crore.

Hope exhibitors will allot more shows to Rustom from monday.

I was expecting something like this from indicine that MD will etc benefit of Housefull shows of rustom. Ppl are by getting tickets for rustom and same will happen tomorrow and MD will surely get an advantage of this .
