  • Just an average movie, one is bound to forget within minutes you come out of theater. Most disappointing part were the songs, we wonder, why such routine and mediocre songs were selected for a movie which has superstar like Salman Khan in lead.

Comedy if not properly done becomes irritating and this was observed at some places which clogged the good parts.

The movie plot was either missing or perhaps difficult to establish as the characters were somewhat overcrowded & mingle dingling with one other.

The second half is a bit more frustrating.

We wonder how Mr.Taran of BollywoodHungama a known and very senior critic assigned 4 stars for Ready and it appears that merit formula was perhaps not prudently applied. There seem something seriously wrong with the scrutiny of the learned writer on this occasion.

In our humble opinion the movie deserves 2.5/5 at the most and that too only for the dashing Salman.

Mr. Bazmee is a talented movie maker, one can judge from previous listings of the banner but it seems the target was missed and that too from very basic standards.

We had to see Ready as Salman was in the movie, but one senior actor no matter how good he is cannot make a good movie if he is not supported by other tagged artists.

We also think choice of heroine was not correct, the south actress Asin didn’t impressed us, although her old movies like Ghajni were far better. other characters were funny at times, but such comedy augmented our anxiety.

Action was somewhat on feeble side, at least action coordinators should do better knowing that Salman Khan was in movie and best efforts should have been done.

Leaving other technical misreadings by makers on the whole, the film can be watched only for Salman Khan. Average. The Cinema Circle, Karachi.

‘Never underestimate three things… I, Me and Myself…’ This goes true for Salman Khan who has proved his superstar status once again with the superhit flick, Bhushan Kumar’s READY, directed by Anees Bazmee, raking in the moolah at the box-office.

In other words, when Salman Khan and Bhushan Kumar get together, it is festival time. Literally. Never mind, if it is not Eid, Christmas or Diwali!

Releasing in the non-festival time, Bhushan Kumar’s READY starring Salman Khan setting new records and moving towards surpassing DABANGG in its opening day speaks by itself on the entertainment value of the flick and the mass adulation. In fact, READY is expected to surpass 3 IDIOTS (13 cr) and TEES MAAR KHAN (12.75 cr) record and is already much ahead of both films in the circuits like CP, C. and Rajasthan and a little behind DABANGG.

‘Bhushan Kumar’s READY is the biggest opener in the non-festive period,’ says a renowned name in trade circle. ‘It has struck like hurricane and fetched a mind-boggling opening. It is the No 2 grosser, slightly behind DABANGG.’

Yet another trade analyst adds, ‘READY causes earthquake at box-office. Good film, great music, super start…’

Bhushan Kumar is elated at the success of READY. Says he, ‘I am thankful to Salman Bhai for the superb human that he is. When you sign him on, you don’t sign an actor. You are with a man who thinks of the film in his waking and sleeping hours and gives the film his 200 per cent. That is what makes the film. Like we stated in the promos, Salman Khan is Ready. It is a tailor-made film for Salman Bhai and he has outshone himself as he does every time! No words can describe my joy. The real success of a film is when the masses acknowledge our efforts.’

  • super hit movie of the year.. full of comedy .. watch again and again.. ready is super duper hit..

  • ready is by far one of the best entertaining movie hindi cinema has witnessed . Just forget the critics as most of them may be had a bad day before viewing the movie. Its entertainment in heavy dose. This is what south indian style of movie is all about ( as ready is remake of a telugu movie with the same title ) . Its a full on paisa vasool flick . Every movie doesnt need to have a social message to take back home. A good time spent and hard earned money squandered in two hours of laugh and entertainment is all that people want and Salman and Ready assures it in every manner.

In 1993, Khan won acclaim for his performances in villainous roles as an obsessive lover and a murderer, respectively, in the box office hits, Darr and Baazigar.[25] In Khan’s entry in Encyclopedia Britannica’s “Encyclopedia of Hindi Cinema” it was stated that “he defied the image of the conventional hero in both these films and created his own version of the revisionist hero.”[26] Darr marked his first collaboration with renowned film-maker Yash Chopra and his banner Yash Raj Films, the largest production company in Bollywood. Baazigar, which saw Khan portraying an ambiguous avenger who murders his girlfriend, shocked its Indian audience with an unexpected violation of the standard Bollywood formula.[27] His performance won him his first Filmfare Best Actor Award
