Salman Khan’s latest release ‘Jai Ho’ has been received well by the audience in theatres, but the superstar says the box office collections is not matching up to the response the film is getting inside theatres.
“This time we are also confused because the reactions inside the theatres and the collections are not matching up. So it’s very strange thing”
“We have done something different, may be people were expecting a film like Dabangg or Ready.. like a full time pass film to enjoy. Some must have understood that Jai Ho is not that kind of film, this is a serious film with a social message” Salman said.
The actor also reiterated that the blame for the film’s mixed response is on him.
“I will only say that the credit or the blame for my film should come to me and not to anybody else. Perhaps I have failed in bringing in the people”
With statements like these, we wonder why Salman is trying to bring his own film down. After all, Jai Ho has managed to collect around 68 crore in its first 4 days at the domestic box office and should easily cross the 100 crore mark – not too bad for a film that was considered to have opened poorly last Friday.

Your pathetic acting never deserved those records, which you enjoyed with your recent craps. Now accept the fact that your honeymoon period is over. Now whatever you will do, it will have the same fate. Your pre-wanted, pre-dabangg days are returned back.

After a long time I saw people clapping at dialogues of movie in theatres.
So, the wom is not mixed, but better, but since it is non holiday period may be people not turning out in numbers.
But the collection is pretty decent for a movie which is not a masala entertainer, has an avg director, no good music, no big co-stars and yet making 60 cr in 3 days, only on the power of Salman.

everyone out there..it doesn’t matter what you say… monday collections proved that jai ho is there to stay…will definitely cross 150cr….will earn 150-175cr….
& if you check indicine predictions…..it clearly states that if jai ho earns 160+ it will be a super-hit….
so it’s a 6th back to back superhit for SK… (though i do believe its the only worth watching film in recent times)

I mean with that kind of list of Super Duper Hits and BlockBusters why would anybody fret at all…..
You should be more concerned about Sarkar Rukh Khan….! His next is a sequel of CASH- a flop film… It may be a HIT only this Diwali due to superstar Deepikas and Abhisheks presence only…
Pre Crappy Express there was Maya Memsaab remake Jab Tak Hai Mojo, pre JTHM we had Don Wannabe Again Part 2- a hit film only, pre that we had Abhisheks Raavan remake called RaRa Point One- a suspiciously labelled Hit…. Not much to shout home about so dont worry about Salman bhai as he will inevitably bounce back with a bang but worry more about Thakur who will revert back to making unofficial plagiarised crapgiri films..! :-P
Film is on the way of 140-150 crs lifetime which will make it Salman’s 6th film to do so.
No other actor did it even twice except Aamir.
Excepting CE no other SRK film crossed 120 crs line.
Same thing with Hrithik,Ranbir & Akshay who has only 1 film each.
So at the end Salman going to cross 125 crs line 6th time in a row.
2 times with non-holiday release.
After thinking all this i cant stop my laugh on people who saying that Salman’s time is over…!

He is saying that film is not up to the mark becos after the release of Chennai express, Salman said that his next film would break the record of chennai express… I hope everyone remembers it…
68 crore in 4 days and will only end up around 130 crores isn’t flop but it’s just strictly average and far off from coming close to any records.
Jai Ho have a good story,script..Average direction,screenplay..
But Salman has done a great job and Noble message from this movie made me cry..
But music is not that great..Hope it will atleast got blockbuster verdict..

I watched Jai Ho here in Malaysia. I liked it very much. Ticket Price in Malaysia: Jai Ho- RM10, CE & Dhoom 3 RM15. I feel Jai Ho should be compared with MNIK, Ready,Taalash, Agneepath, YJHD. Not with Dhoom 3, CE or K3.
Yes, it failed to meet people’s expectations because people had over-expected from a non-holiday and non-festive release. There are many factors that are against the movie as well. It will emerge as a Super Hit in the long run.
when films like ra.one, don2, jthj come on holidays n festive season with big banners, big directors, big heroines, over the top promotions n get only ‘hit’ status then lungiwalas have no problem.. n here they are talking about salman!

No salman,the blame should be put upon some die hard fan of urs who is still trying to be a being human.it will take time turning them into human being.

@navin,veer was more nice than jai ho .salman did good job as veer rather than jai .but jai ho is doing great.it’s u who thought jai ho will broke dhoom 3 record.it’s an below average movie in which genre salman fans never ever except him.so better luck next time for kick.
Though this film isn’t holding up as well as a Salman starrer should, it will certainly bolt past 100cr, unlike other actors who struggle to reach 100cr, so Salmans stardom cannot be questioned. Jai Ho will be Salman’s 6th 100cr grosser in a row. Something that no other actor has achieved. Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan are a bit of a distance from this. The next in line is none other than King SRK.
