Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela continued its steady run at multiplexes in its second weekend, with All-India business of around 17 crore net. The film needs around 3.5 crore to cross the 100 crore mark.
Ram Leela is outstanding in the Mumbai circuit, especially in the state of Gujarat.
The first 10 day business is only behind 3 films this year – Krrish 3, Chennai Express and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. By the end of its run, Ram Leela is likely to be the 4th highest grosser of the year, as it should beat the lifetime business of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag by the end of its second week.

While there is not much incentive for small films to report false numbers, big filmmakers happily report hiked up numbers. Their need for breaking records surpasses all their other needs. TOI being the largest and the most respected medium in the space of Entertainment, affects them when we report numbers that do not match their hiked numbers. Some common manias that we have observed:
Interestingly, while filmmakers have no hesitation in picking up the phone and trying to convince us about their false data, they will not send formal emails confirming the data as they are scared of subsequent expose. They know that they have achieved their purpose by media reporting ‘so and so beats so and so’. We will continue to love films and our stars but for the sake of you the reader, who bestow trust on us giving us a part of your life everyday, we cannot cheat you and report numbers knowing that they are inaccurate.
As a nation progresses, its industries evolve, mature, become more organised, more responsible, more accountable. Bollywood and software are two of India’s only truly global industries. The software industry, with companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant, is today recognised and respected not just for the work it produces, but also for the corporate standards it has set. Why can’t Bollywood do the same?

I watched lootera when it premiered on max on saturday,film is gr8,loved sonakshi very much,her best performance…
But i found one problem in Ranveer,his dialogue delivery is so soft that his voice is’nt audible clearly..I have found this problem in ladies vs ricky bahl and band baaja baarat also.

@sumeet: chennai express worldwide income: worldwide gross=425 crs, theatrical rights=105 crs, satellite rights=66 crs, music right=8 crs. Total gross= 604 crs.. So even after historic manipulation by roshans, ce>>>>k3.. Anyways congrats for k3 success and better luck next time for delivering a biggest grosser of all time..
@nipun try to protect k3 as much as possible but fact is it will wrap up under 178 cr slowly now media are also started to quoting same figure. And after 2 years every site will settled with Boi figure.
