The team of ‘Robot 2.0’ have moved to Rajnikanth’s home town Chennai to continue shooting for the film. The director of the film sought permission to shoot at Chennai’s Forum Vijaya Mall early on Wednesday morning.
The team reached the mall at 2AM and completed shooting the scenes by 6AM. Akshay Kumar, who usually has strict conditions of ‘no early morning / late night / weekend shoot’ was seen shooting for the film too. The actor is said to have given the film a lot more dates than he usually does.
“Director Shankar had sought special permission to shoot in Forum Vijaya Mall in Chennai. The team shot between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. earlier this morning (Wednesday). Akshay Kumar and a few character artistes participated in the shoot” a source close to the film said.
The scene which was earlier planned with the public, was cancelled because the presence of both Rajnikanth and Akshay could have resulted in them getting mobbed.
“They had originally planned to shoot with the public. However, they feared being mobbed and, therefore, dropped the plan and instead chose to shoot early morning” the source added.
The current schedule will be wrapped up this weekend.

In Robot 1 it was Rajni vs Rajni which was great also. But here it is Rajni vs Akshay which shall be more special.
And obviously it will be interesting to see Akshay in a villain role.

OK, ..it would create so much moolah on the box office specially in south…..but when the first look of mohenjodaro will release….only 80 days to go for release…..very 2 poor promotion strategy by makers….hadd hoti hai yaar….

Robot 2.0 is easily one of the Biggest movies of 2017 along with Baahubali : The Conclusion . It was a great idea by Shankar to shoot between 2 AM to 6 AM as they would have shot without any problems and without any interference from people . I am just wondering which portion is being shot in Forum Vijaya Mall – Action sequence, chase sequence or something else . I am extremely excited for Robot 2.0 . Robot in 2010 was the most expensive movie made in India and now Robot 2.0 will be the most expensive movie made in India . Robot 2.0 and Baahubali are the biggest contenders for HGOTY 2017 . I hope they are working on Akshay’s look as the 1st pic in Delhi he was looking ugly in the wig and the makeup was looking tacky . They can’t do anything wrong because the COP is humongous and if something goes wrong it can be a massive failure .
1st Movie which going to create 400Cr club, if it clicks with audience, but collection will not less then 300Cr.
I’ll tell you a secret..Robot 2 is a bad film with terrible clunking script…awful acting by flop KUMAR and overactor Mr Rajnikanth so no doubt it gonna be another 60 cr film??
