Eid and Christmas are undoubtedly two of the biggest weekends that we have in the year. It’s becoming a habit for people now to save money and wait for the event films that release during the festive weekends.
How do the last two major releases during Eid (Sultan) and Christmas (Dangal) match up to the combined business of Raees and Kaabil. Check out the table below:
Note: The Republic Day weekend is not known to deliver big grossers at the box office. The highest all-time grossers of January are Airlift (129 crore) and Agneepath (121 crore). Raees is expected to top January inspite of clash.
Raees, Kaabil and Dangal had one major holiday each, whereas Sultan had two partial holidays.

Watched RAEES today …SRK mind blowing acting atleast after 6-7 years….

I watched Raaes yesterday and I just want to clear one point upfront that I am not a fan of any particular actor but a quality movie. I am thoroughly unsatisfied with this movie Raaes. The maker seemed to be confused regarding the plot. A good movie is always driven by one meaty context and Raaes is just a clueless film, to say the least. I am pretty sure even the makers are unsure what they are trying to show through this film. It is so emotionless (you don’t even feel sad when SRK is shot to death unless you are a SRK devotee). If they had focused more on the content just like the teaser, the result would be different. And all the trading of liquor and stuff shown in the movie is a rip off version of American TV Series Narcos ( I recommend it to everyone if you want to see some brilliance on this topic).
Boxoffice wise, it will barely show any magic from now on. Friday’s collection witnessed a drop of 50%, which means it will have a single digit collection from Monday onwards. 125 cr max. Verdict: Average. Another mediocre product from SRK. Hope The Ring turns things around for him.
Raees can’t cross Airlift LT collection.
Raees definitely struggle on Monday.

Watched Kaabil and raees both. Kaabil is better movie but raees is better than hny and dilwale. Ammijaan kahti hai ki dhandhe se bada dharam nahi hota jab tak wo dusro ko nuksaan naa panhuchaaye. But liqure is injurious to health, family and society.

There is big drop for Raees on 3rd day instead of having more screens and shoes. 20 on Day 1 to 13 on Day 3 is big, a difference of 7 crores. Compared to this, Kaabil drop was just one crore i.e. 10 Day 1 to 9 on Day 3. This shows that audience have started choosing Kaabil over Raess…I feel Kaabil will have more screens and shows in Week 2 then Raess and close the difference. If both the movies can collect 150 crores + each it will be great for industry. This will also prove that two good movies can collect 150 crores each even with a clash…
KAABIL is a better movie than Raees according to more than 90% of people !
only srk rocks dont compare 3 flop actors with srk even though raees cant beat sultan and dangal but still it has smashed kaabil and today collections can go up to 20 crore and kaabil will be only 10 crore if calculator is working it can go up to 12 crores

Both raees and kaabil has brought some good news for the industry. But such a waste of opportunity especially for raees which could have been a blockbuster. Republic day weekend was never a good date for a single movie forget two. One thing clear is that there is no unity in industry. All are running after money. I have seen Kaabil its a very good movie and should have released solo but again. I blame srk for this clash there is no point avoiding a clash and clashing with another one. If srk thought that clashing with a comparatively smaller movie is wise decision than I must a say it’s a cheap strategy. Sorry Srk u have lost all my respect whatever left after that OSO vs Saawariya fight.

Comparison is doesn’t matter much in this case, but as Aamir not belong to top 2 crowd pullar in the industry than comparison should be between Sultan and Raees. Because competition to hamesha top supetstars me hota h and Jo stardom ko bhi paani pila de Use Aamir khan kehte h.
Its not necessary to know the collection of any movie for us……we just need some movies that make us inspiration or feel comfortable n happy

Right! according to Raees’s senseless mother Liquor (Alcohol) isn’t bad for health.. Lol…although at that time liquor was banned due to health problem but his mother didn’t notice that Liquor is injurious to health.
Raees didn’t realise liquor harms people when news broke that many people died due to Sharab but when he see News of bomb blast he suddenly realised his guilty of killing people lol…
