Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has completed its first week at the box office with net box office collections of Rs 109.01 crore in 7 days – as per official figures released by Red Chillies Entertainment.
Note: There will be no ‘IndicineLBO’ prediction for Raees, as we see inconsistency in our tracking estimates and official figures released by the makers throughout the first 7 days. The same applies to both films, the other being Kaabil.

sad…..producers of both films seem to be playing around with figures……….have always felt that anything more than 10% variation is questionable………
There’s hardly been any variance as far as films like PK, BB and Dangal are concerned…..Infact even a film like Dhoom 3 had just 3.5-4% variation…..Ek Tha Tiger was also around 10%…..
Remember bigger the box office collections, higher are the chances of variations in producer and trade figures……Both RAEES and KAABIL are not huge…….this variations here are even more alarming!! And yes, earlier as well opening and lifetime collections of films like HNY and Prem ratan Dhan Payo are highly questionable as due to variance these films crossed 200 cr mark or broke opening day figures!!!
Remember that PK collections were tracked by international agency Rentrak……wonder why they dont that anymore………would bring in a lot of credibility I feel!!

Kaabil and raess are now almost running at same levels and Kaabil was the more loved movie and hrithiks performance was the more appreciated so I guess we all know the winner of this Kaabil clash

Although both films are neck n neck in occupancy but raees has higher screen counts + raees is phenomenal in single screens, which are difficult to track.

Film Comparison:
1) STory , screenplay n dialogues : in this dipartment raees is way ahead . Raees s more realistic , engaging writing n lot more engrossing, its like a journey
Dialogues r just mind-blowing.
Kaabil s entertaining but writing is weak n u cant find any logic n dis screenplay,
Ek blind admi kaise Dubbing kar sakta he I really don’t know
1st hour s very slow n flat
2nd hour s pretty engaging .
2) Performances : This s where d fight begins.
SRK n Hrithik both give deir 200%
But raees again leading because of d presence of a solid supporting cast.

But Kaabil s also vry tough because HR cant express with his eyes , he is blind n screenplay s not dat much powerful like RAEES so it’s a one man show. Vry difficult but awesome performance by both of them.

But here is the reality.
Only RAEES screens increased after weekend (sunday). It only means RAEES is massy and it is expected to attract more crowd and it is doing exactly that.
Many exhibitors from monday morning added RAEES shows as KAABIL is a multiplex movie. RAEES is holding up decent on weekdays. KAABIL has dropped to 4 Crore on Monday itself. RAEES held on to 8.5 Crores.
You cannot take away reality. Remember, when SRK was doing multiplexes movies, his collection was also dropping form monday itself. All this matter. This time its KAABIL.
Only numbers I’ll take is RAEES 110 Cr in 7 days. Its the most honest number especially when 2 production houses are involved.
After listening to Rakesh Roshan’s stubborn and arrogant inverviews, I’ll only believe BOC or BOI number. He has lost all his credibility.

Any and every action of Shahrukh Khan is manipulative, be it purchasing awards, getting more screens for Raees on the weight of Bahubali 2 (Same distributor: Anil Thadani), getting more screens for Jab Tak Hai Jaan on the weight of Ek Tha Tiger (Same producer & distributor: Yashraj), manipulating box office figures, threatening to throw people out of the industry (Shirish Kunder, Sanjay Bhansali during Saawariya – OSO clash), manipulating online views on Youtube, etc.
