The makers of Race 2, sequel to the 2008 super-hit Race, want Deepika Padukone at any cost! The movie which was set to release in May 2012 as previously planned will release at a later date next year. Deepika had earlier opted out, due to a conflict with dates, which were already allotted for Karan Johar’s Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
But producer Ramesh Taurani is willing to push the dates forward in Deepika’s favor. This decision may require Sonakshi Sinha to step out as she will be busy shooting for Dabaang 2 with Salman Khan.
Originally the film was set to feature Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha. Now the speculation continues as to who will be cast for the much-hyped sequel.
Race 2 is likely to release by the end of 2012. Stay tuned for more.
