Race 2 First Day Box Office Collections
Race 2 opened to a excellent response at the box office on Friday. The film performed well at both single screens/multiplexes and collected Rs 14.5 crore on it’s first day, which is a opening record for all actors.
For Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, Cocktail (11 cr) was their highest opener so far. While Housefull 2 (Rs 13 cr) was the biggest opener for John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandes. It’s also a record for an Abbas-Mustan film.
With Saturday being a holiday for Republic day, a jump of 5-10% would result in second day collections of around 15-16 crore. The growth in business is unlikely to be huge, as the reports are mixed and Friday was also a national holiday for Id-E-Milad.

For a movie released on more than 3000 screens.. 14.5 crore is no big deal. But still, the audience verdict seems to be good. So could well be Saif’s first 100 crore earner.

@srk, dont forget that jthj released wid 2500screens clash wid sos whereas race 2 with 3200screens(3rd widest release) solo is 14.5crs

@srk,why u compare jab tak hai jaan with race 2?jab tak hai jaan had faced huge competition from sos while race 2 is a solo release.jthj released on 2500 screens while race 2 released on 3200 screens.jab tak hai jaan evening shows were effected due diwali puja.and according to boi,jthj first day collection was 12.80 crore and race 2 is 14 crore.i want to explain other regions but i have no time.
