The business of Kangana Ranaut’s Queen has escalated big time on its second day at the domestic box office. Every center has shown an upward trend, which sets up the film well for a strong Saturday.
The word-of-mouth is by far the best for any film this year, and this was pretty evident from the way the film has grown from its opening day. On Friday, Queen collected Rs 1.85 crore, which was about 10% lower than Gulaab Gang. On Saturday, with collections of around 3.25 cr, it managed to beat the Madhuri Dixit starrer, even though it has released on about half the number of screens.
Looking at the way the film has opened on Sunday, all India business is likely to be 4-5 cr. The weekend total should be in the 9-10 cr range. Weekdays will then decide if the film can attain its much-deserved HIT status.

Queen will also collect well in the 2nd week,bcoz i don’t think Bewakoofiyan has any buzz behind it,music is pretty average,and promos are below average…
Unless it does’nt get very good reviews,Bewakoofiyan is all set to become a FLOP,a YRF flop after sometime…
Ragini MMS 2 will open huge…no doubt about that.

@indicine no of screens are lower for queen but it had done good business in multiplexes thus its collections are higher than gulaab gang but the footfall for gulaab gang are more because it had done better business in single screens.
i am happy that queen has big jump on saturday and it clears that people are really liking the movie a lot today will be huge jump and it should be hit otherwise it will be shame for india.
Wait for Holiday. Queen is low budget movie with low entertainment value.

Queen was boring. People spend Rs 200 on ticket they deserve big budget entertainment. Queen was low budget entertainment. Waste of hard earned money.
i saw queen today and i really got impressed by Kangana’s performance and also the movie is brilliant.

what do you mean by entertainment? Entertainment is when you feel fully content with the movie you see. It is not about just high octane romance, action or drama.
All the best to Holiday, but don’t make comments to pull other movie down, when you haven’t even seen it, because i have still to find a person who has to say anyting bad about Queen so far.
