Yash Raj Films’ is all set to launch two new actors; Raj Kapoor’s grandson Aadar Jain and the ‘industry outsider’ Anya Singh. The film titled Qaidi Band is about a bunch of youngsters who use music to free themselves from the hell in prison.
A song that they compose inside the jail goes viral and becomes an anthem of sorts.
Written and directed by Habib Faisal – director of films like ‘Ishaqzaade’, ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’ and ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ – Qaidi Band releases in theatres on 25 Aug 2017.

Nepotism has become an overused term but launching of the likes of straight faced celebrity offspring is really annoying… Ayushman Khurana would have suited for such musical film… This Aadar Jain’s launch video is so foolish that he didn’t have any idea how to carry himself in front of the camera… He lacked confidence and it was clearly visible that he’s being continuously guided by the photographer, his eyes were expressionless and his body language suggested his nervousness… He’ll be doomed with this movie…

WTF they r releasing it on 25aug,both Qaidi Band & Nikhil Advani Lucknow Central have same story n YRF r trying to gain advantage by releasing it before LC which is releasing on 15th Sep….anyway i think Lucknow Central cast luks more promising,waiting for its trailer

Looks lame and the release date looks way too early for a movie starring newcomers which would ideally require more hype! Its clashing with A GENTLEMAN which looks great and on the other hand, August is anyway filled with other biggies in JHMS and TEPK. No way the audience would wanna spend on this. Its funny how a big production house like YRF can have really non-smart strategies off and on!

Bad marketing. The acting looks fine, but the concept is too weird for Indian audience.

HABIB FAISAL is an awsome director who gave ISHAQZAADE
but DAAWAT -E- ISHQ was not good and im not that happy with this trailer too
but cant say his story telling way and direction is different..
