Sholay directed by Ramesh Sippy, is arguably one of the best movies to have come out of Bollywood. Every character in Sholay is unique, special and evergreen. We are curious to know your favorite characters in the movie..

Amjad Khan as Gabbar Singh is the most popular villian in the history of Hindi Cinema. His dialogues are still etched in the minds of movie goers. Sholay was Amjad Khan’s debut and also the best performance of his career.
Sanjeev Kumar as Thakur. The dialogue delivery, intensity and performance of Sanjeev Kumar in Sholay has to be seen to be believed.
Amitabh Bachchan as Jai and Dharmendra as Veeru. The dialogues and chemistry between Jai and Veeru is legendary and so are their characters.
Hema Malini as Basanti, Jaya Bachchan as Radha and Jagdeep Jaffrey (Father of popular comedian and dancer Javed Jaffrey) as Soorma Bhopali are also very popular characters.
And who can forget Arsani as the Angrez ke zamaane ke jailor. Funny and brilliant! Kalia and Sambha are also remembered to his day.
