PK has collected Rs 183 crore in its first week at the domestic box office. The film has shown outstanding growth, not just over the weekend, but on Christmas when the film managed to collect almost 30 crore. Even on Wednesday the film was phenomenal, business at multiplexes picked up because Thursday was a holiday.
PK is the highest Hindi grosser of all time in its first week, and second in the all time list as Dhoom 3 collected Rs 188.99 cr in its first week including 7 crore from regional versions like Tamil and Telugu.
Looking at the trend, PK is almost certain to cross the lifetime collections of Dhoom 3 and should eventually cross the 300 crore mark. It should go on to be an ‘All Time Blockbuster’ too, yet another all time grosser for Aamir Khan.

It was a good movie but certainly not the best of Heerani
Ended up as the worst no… least good of Heerani
But if kick can do 200+ then pk deserves 300-350 for sure
I love the way this guy comes up at every year end, hits the Bull’s eye each time around, scores an all time blockbuster, is in the news for 2 months and then disappears for 10 months.
Not a fan of his, but I like people who don’t get carried away by success, or try to be in news for nonsense reasons. Lives his live by his choice, on his own terms. Doesn’t give a damn about the world.
I am sure he’ll come up with another art house movie like Dhobhighat after Pk. He is in his own league.
@ indicine , to collect 300 cr pk has to collect about 120 cr, that is not possible, if you check all the previous releases no film has managed to collect more than 100 cr after first week, even half of the first week collections are tough to achieve
Congrats to Rajkumar Hirani. He’s now the only director of bollywood with all clean successes and all critically acclaimed hits. No director of bollywood till date has this record. Keep going sir from strength to strength!

These are phenomenal collections . I will be happy when i will hear the news that PK has broken the record of Dhoom 3 . Dhoom 3 was a crap movie . Although PK is not a brilliant movie according to me it is still better than movies like CE, Dhoom 3, Kick and HNY .
