Shahrukh Khan celebrated his birthday with family, friends and the media. The first video trailer of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was also revealed.

Top celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and Bipasha Basu made their way to Mannat, SRK’s bandra residence, where the mega celebrations were held. Vivek Oberoi made the most impact as he came on a bus! Amrita Arora was present too with her new boyfriend Shakeel Ladk, as we continued to wonder how the Arora babe keeps changing them so often. Sushmita Sen and Raveena Tandon were present too.

But all eyes were on the man of the moment. King Khan spoke about Rab Ne and also about the gifts his dad used to give him when they were poor and how they still continue to be his prized possesions. “The best gift that I could get from my father was an old Parker pen wrapped in a new wrapping paper. The pen didn’t even work but that was okay for me because the gift came from my father”

“My father had his good times and then when bad times came he started gifting me old things on my birthday. On another occasion, he gifted me an old typewriter, and wished me happy birthday. I am very sentimental about that gift and I have still kept that typewriter with me as a memory of my father” said Shahrukh whose father died when the star was just 15 years old.
