The craze for Shahrukh Khan’s Ra One is increasing by the day. Yesterday, the music of the film was launched and there was huge buzz on the internet. Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube were buzzing with comments and excitement around India’s costliest film ever.
Initially, the event that was supposed to be aired at 8PM was delayed by more than an hour due to heavy rains affecting certain portion of the huge sets (it was built in an open area). When it did go live, the spotlight was firmly on the leading man – Shahrukh Khan – who enthralled the audience with his wit and humor.
While the dance performances were slightly disappointing, SRK more than made up for it with the introduction of the main men behind the film. He dedicated the music of the film to the late Yash Johar and invited his good friend Karan Johar to launch the music.
The music launch was followed by a press conference and finally the photo-op with Kareena Kapoor looking stunning!

Indicine on youtube it had 13000comments in a hour..that took it upto one of the most discussed video in India..and that too in a hour..

also Ormax said that buzz for Ra.One in Week 7 is 54..while 2nd highest at this stage was G3 with 19!!..
while bodyguard was 46 in Week5..

and Anubhav Sinha said..that one shot in Ra.One costed more than the whole budget of his debut Directional Film..

i have not heard the songz… but i read somewhere tht the songs are sort of repetitive….
Aashkaran – The big question is have Anubhav Sinha and co pulled it off. Star power and hype won’t be enough to recover costs.. Even if it does 120 crores in Week 1 and crashes later, it won’t be a big hit..
Superhero films, VFX and a film of this magnitude, is something that hasn’t been attempted before. So it’ll be very interesting to see, if Ra One lives upto expectations. As long as the movie is good, it’s money well spent.. both for the makers and audience. :)

Indicine..the question that can Anubhav Sinha Pull it off…has been answere by the trailer itself I guess..
3000Prints are releasing itself in India..and 700 in CHina (MNIK was on7 prints)..and many prints in rest of countries..Its also being dubbed..in Tamil Telugu..German and some other languages…
I think Overall its going to Do Extremely well and recover its budget within week 1 only..
and Starpower and Hit Songs in today’s era are enough for a film being hit..as hello said above..with Bodyguard..the case is enough to proove..but I wont put that case in Ra.One..coz I want it to be good
and BTW with SRK we know that he won’t let it go wrong..and Trailer just cleared our doubts..I dont think it’ll crash soon even if its bad..coz it has no competition for 3weeks..
Even 170Cr from India will be enough..

Ra.One has brilliancy written all over it and is clearly a huge winner all the way. It isn’t just the grandest score of the year but is also one of the hugest ever that has come out of Bollywood. Music here not just meets the huge expectations but also surpasses it at various junctures, hence making it a satiating experience for the listener. Not just that as it also promises a major cinematic outing once big screen comes calling. A definite choice of the season.

Aashkaran, you have hit the nail on the head. A few points:
1. Passing the 100cr mark is only a recent phenomemon: multiplexes and a more professionalised film making machine from Film City, Mumbai. “Picture abhi bakhi hai…”
2. Pre-this phenomenon SRK ruled supreme at the box office for years on a stable constant success tangent. Others had peaks ands spikes but not the same type of box office reliability: thats why SRK has been the darling of the directors and producers. Why do you think mostly directors rushed to SRK’s side when he had his verbal fight with Salman at Katrina’s birthday a few years ago, whilst mostly actors rushed to Salman.
3. The days of any one actor or movie dominating for years are over. Ther lifespan of being the best “ever” at anything is now only a few weeks. SRK, and Big B before him, are the last of their kinds: the globally recognised and appreciated Hindi film superstar.
4. Aamir has had ability exceeding others in certain aspects e.g. filmaking and Salman has one of highest, if not the highest, fan followings amongst yound females and males due to his looks. However, on an overall basis SRK exceeds in strar power and commercial success.
5. All three main Khans are heading towards 50 – yes 50 now. If they want toc ash in big time perhaps they could find a way of getting into a moview together. Plenty of script ideas can work to massage their egos. If they are a Khan and “man” enough then why not get into a moview together and let the audience enjoy and be the true judge of who can provide the most convincing and entertaining performance in any particualr category: comedy, drama, action etc.

Although muvi is lukng gud n creatng buzz but I dont think it’ll be able to break bg ‘1st day’ colectns record as its releasng on The Diwali day.. as fr exampl m goin hom for Diwali js fr few days, so on 26th ful day i’l spnd maxm time wid family n frnz.. i dont think ‘many’ peopl n families wil spare altogethr 5-6 hrs fr any muvi on The festiv day..

Ek Tha Tiger is going to be the biggest hit in Bollywood’s history. I am sorry guys and I take my words back about Ra1. I know in my heart that Ra1 is going to flop but i wanted to help SRK so that he can achieve at least half of what salman has already achieved. I know it is a copy of Tron and I know SRK’s time is over.
