Ajay Devgn, whose upcoming film Son Of Sardar is a remake of director S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu film ‘Maryada Ramanna’, says he is open to acting in southern films, but feels language could be a barrier.
Asked if he would like to work with Rajamouli on a southern project in future, he said: “It’s just that I don’t know the language and it will take me a lot of time to. But if there is something fabulous then, why not.”
The 43-year-old spoke on the sidelines of a press meet of “Makkhi”, the Hindi dubbed version of Rajamouli’s “Eega”. Ajay has lent his voice for the opening sequence of the film and reportedly, Kajol has also rendered her voice.
“Makkhi” will also see the protagonist of the film do a typical Ajay Devgn stunt, when he will be seen balancing on two flies, just like Ajay has balanced on two horses in Son of Sardar.
Meanwhile, Ajay, who has worked in a few Bollywood remakes of southern films like Singham and Yuva, believes it is a give-and-take relationship between Bollywood and southern cinema.
“It’s not like I have deliberately thought about it. But this is a continuous thing. If there is a good Hindi film, it is remade in south and if we like a south film, then we buy the rights and make it in Hindi. I think this exchange will always go on,” Ajay said.

rohit have to say that comment. because without ajay, rohit has no address in bollywood. he will even drink the water after washing ajay’s feet.he as a director is a shame to the industry for not showing any progress or deviating from same actor. be like anurag kashyap or vipul shah who have the guts to experiment with fresh faces and still deliver hits.

Ajay has capability of doing any type of role.
He is a allrounder actor.
He made all type of films(Comedy,Action,Drama etc) hit.
He is not belongs to a single catagory of films like his fans will call Ajay is back to his typical XYZ genre after YZ years & he will rock this time etc etc etc.
He won two times National award,which is acheived by few actors like Mr.Bacchan,Om Puri & Nassiruddin Shaha.
And those who said that National awards are intrupted by politions then, I think Ritesh Deshmukh might got it 3-4 times & even Srk also due to his close relations with Sonia Gandhi.How he missed it.
And please guys watch the films Bhagatsingh & Zakm for which Ajay get the National award before talking.
If you Srk fans have problem with Salman,Akshay,Hrithik because they overtaking Srk then please dont abuse them.We all other actor fans will say that Srk is No.1. But dont abuse other actors.

Did you know Saif Ali Khan got Padmashri before Aamir Khan.
Because GOI doesnt take so seriously Padmshri.
But if i will sure if Srk make 2 more stunts like Wankhede then GOI will take it back very fast.
