Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor has performed very poorly at the box office. The trend over the weekend was as poor as the opening. Empty theatres and reduced shows on Monday has sealed the fate of yet another ‘female centric’ film.
Noor will finish with lifetime business of less than 10 crore.
The first choice in theatres this weekend was the one week old ‘Fast and Furious 8’ which has now crossed the 80 crore mark at the India box office.
The industry awaits the release of the biggest film of the year so far, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, which is expected to break all opening records – with the Hindi version alone likely to surpass the opening day business of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees which released with Kaabil in January this year.
It’s the first event film of the year, so the ticket prices have been hiked and almost everyone wants to watch the film on Friday – before the suspense around ‘Why Kattappa killed Bahubali’ is out on the internet.

Arrogant actress who compares women as superior than men, we respect women but such women’s are disgrace to the society. It’s women empowerment to some extend it’s good, but sonakshi should never misjudge it, never forget that Salman has given her a break in Dabang and because of the file and salman she was recognized as actress, not by her gender or women empowerment. So sonakshi have a break and come back with more sensible films, these films not gonna work these days, you need to again catch a good actor to be back on track until then you pay should be less than supporting actress… Best of Luck…
Being from a telugu state, I really feel that Baahubali was a complete mess which made even a good looking Prabhas into an ugly face, yeah neverthless all the credits should go to that most ugly looking director GajjiMoli.
Frankly speaking if you want to say it really a magnum opus then before saying that think of Bajirao Mastani which is a great epic.
A movie like Bajirao is said to be a magnum opus , not that ugly BajjiBali.
Actually, Why Baahubali is setting BO on fire is, It is their outstanding Marketing standards, A huge bow to The Marketing team of Baahubali who are doing a great hard work in making a movie which looks like Kailash Kher’s face into a BO spinner.
Looking at the collections of female centric movies I think naam shabana till pretty well at 37 CR’s when u look at other movies like phillauri(25crs),begum jaan 17 CR’s n now noor.
Knew Noor would get sandwiched between Fast and Furious 8 & Baahubali 2: The Conclusion but didn’t expect it to be so bad ?

So many of your actors/actresses are the in the business due to a family member already in the industry. Do you in India wish that would change? Just because your family member made it big doesn’t necessary mean that the child has the same talents. Perhaps India maybe missing out on some great talent, the pool should be open to more than kids of stars out there that is when movies will shine and people will come to appreciate the acting. So much attention are going to kids of movie stars which most of it is nonsense stuff
