Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen in this week’s release ‘Tamasha’, had agreed to work in Kishore Kumar’s biopic which was supposed to be directed by Anurag Basu.
Unfortunately, the film is not happening.
Talking about the biopic, Ranbir said “That film is shelved. We wanted to make that film. It was one of the most interesting stories Dada (Anurag Basu) and I had in mind. But it didn’t work out and we aren’t making it anymore”
The reason, Ranbir says, was the casting and script. Moreover, Kishore Kumar’s family wasn’t happy with the story.
“Firstly, we didn’t get the cast we wanted for the film. Then there were issues with the script. Family members were not happy with the script and it was just not working out. So all these factors played spoilsport. Otherwise, it could have been a great film.”
Ranbir will be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, which will be directed Rajkumar Hirani. The actor also has ‘Jagga Jasoos’, directed by Anurag Basu.

After the super success of YJHD he became very lazy with his acting. Superstardom carried him away thinking “Nepotism in Bollywood is a Right not a privilege” Hop he has now realised family power or influence in the industry does not gurantee superstardom!! That’s why no matter how Shah rukh and Akshay are critized one thing is they struggled and worked hard before attaining superstardom.
NB: advice for RK ,he should realize actors like Varun and Ranveer are so close to him that any more slip up from RK these 2 guys will move ahead of him!

Ranbir has realized that Anurag will screw up his career. Anurag takes so much time to complete the movie and keeps altering the script. The detective movie which Ranbir and Anurag are working on has already taken so much time that people seem to loose interest in it.
