Anushka Sharma’s NH10 has collected Rs 3.25 – 3.5 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is higher than what was expected out of the film before release.
Most female-centric films in recent times have opened at around the 2 crore mark. Even though NH10 took a slow start in the morning, the film managed to show significant growth noon onwards, which could be because the film is carrying fantastic reports.

NH10 has to collect around 35-40 crore just to cover its costs through theatrical business, which is a lot to expect from a adult rated thriller film. It would have to show growth in the range of 35-40% today and then sustain well on Monday to have any chance of recovering costs.
The India vs Zimbabwe cricket match is unlikely to affect business of the film, as collections on Saturday tends to peak 4PM onwards.
Like Badlapur and Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the word-of-mouth is likely to remain on the positive side, but the genre will have limited appeal towards the family audience.

These are good collections for a Adult rated Women centric movie . I think the collections will grow today and Sunday . Monday will be very important for this movie to be successful like Queen, Mardaani and Mary Kom . Anushka Sharma is the youngest producer in Bollywood at the age of 26 . I am not sure whether i will watch this movie or not . Best of Luck hope NH10 becomes successful . By the way Happy Birthday Aamir Khan you have completed your Golden Jubilee . Gobbar is back and singh is bling will have similar opening. Afterall they are Akkis films, who made Joker, khiladi 786, Tees maar khan, entertainment and many such movies.
