Navabharat Times Udaan Award for Fanaa

Big B was the Chief Guest in an award function organised by Navbharat Times. Filmmaker Kunal Kohli was felicitated by Amitabh Bachchan at this function and his film Fanaa starring Aamir Khan and Kajol was awarded Udaan Award for promoting Hindi Language.

?This award was meant for contribution of Hindi Language. It feels great that my movie Fanaa got an award but at the same time it is bad that we are getting awards for promoting our own national language.? says Kunal.

?It feels bad that the award is not much spoken in media. To be pragmatic Hindi has been treated as vernacular language so we need to promote Hindi, since our new generation is not very keen to acknowledge it. It feels bad that we are losing our own language, which is part of our own culture.? He laments.

Meanwhile Kunal has signed Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee to play the main lead in his next film in which Rishi Kapoor will be seen in a guest appearance. The movie is a love story and the shooting is expected to start in the month of september.
