Nautanki Saala has raked in Rs 11.5 crore in it’s opening weekend at the domestic box office. The Ayushmann Khurana film was competing against Vidyut Jamwal’s Commando and has managed to come out with slightly better weekend numbers.
The madcap comedy, also starring Kunaal Roy Kapoor and Pooja Salvi was off to a slow start on Friday (3.1 cr), picked up by around 30% across all Urban centres on Saturday (3.9 cr), but it was on Sunday that the film was slightly below-the-mark.
The morning shows had better occupancy than both Friday and Saturday, but there were drops at key centres for evening/night shows.
Made on a budget of Rs 13 crore including print and advertising, Nautanki Saala would need to collect Rs 25 crore net in India to emerge a hit.
