Nautanki Saala has collected Rs 3 crore net on it’s first day at the domestic box office. The occupancy for the morning shows was around 10-15%, but the film picked up in the evening at multiplexes to put up decent first day figures.
In comparison, Ayushmann Khurana’s first film Vicky Donor collected Rs 2 crore on it’s opening day and went on to collect Rs 8 crore in it’s opening weekend.
The target audience once again is the urban youth and the reports from centres where the film is expected to do well (the metros and big cities) is good.
Released on around 900 screens across the country, Nautanki Saala cost the makers around 13 crores including P&A.
