The full list of National Awards 2016 winners is out. SS. Rajamouli’s classic ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ won the Best Film of 2015. Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan in the lead, was declared as the ‘Film providing wholesome entertainment’.
While Salman missed out on a national award for his performance in the film, it was Amitabh Bachchan who was declared the Best Actor. Kangana Ranaut bagged Best Actor trophy for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was honoured with the Best Director award, for his flawlessly directing yet another historical classic ’Bajirao Mastani’.
Yash Raj Films’ Dum Laga Ke Haisha was declared the ‘Best Hindi Film’.

Excellent job done by jury. All d winners fully deserve it perhaps except Bachchan but his performance was also very good.
Anyways the point to b noted is that Bajirao has won 4 national awards including best director. So from wars to BO to Critics to Bollywood awards to finally National Awards Bajirao has won every possible battle that he had to fight.

Salman deserved to be the best actor of this year but award will not describe what a gem he is.
It’s true except hritik & khans there are not much bankable star, but I think bollywood is not giving chances to the deserving actors, South stars should be given chances
In bahubali pravas showed what he can do, I bet no bollywood actor would have done justice to the bahubali character except Salman, if few chances will be given to prabhas in bollywood undoubtedly he will become a national level superstar & he is 1000 times better than likes of ranveer, Ranbir & sahid. Hope bollywood producers give chances to the deserving.
But in my life I just want to experience Mahesh babu in hindi movie he is undoubtedly the best, he has a huge fan following down south his solo telugu movies are 150cr – 200 cr grosser bollywood should utilize this gem.
It’s a request to bollywood please give at least one chance to Mahesh babu, we are missing a gem in big screen, if Mahesh babu will be given few chances in bollywood I bet he will give tough fight to amir & Salman hope we can experience such bollywood movie with Mahesh babu in lead.

These awards are quite fair and all the awardees deserve their bit.
But look at these loser bhaijan fans. When their bhaijan couldn’t win a Filmfare award, they called it fake and they said only national award matters. Now, since the jury of national award has punched hard on their faces, they are saying even national awards are biased.

@Satyajit … Mahesh Babu said in many of his interviews that he wants to stick to South Industry. He is happy there. Many bollywood producers have offered him but he chooses to do south movies only.
Congrats to all Salman fans for the BB award. It deserved even more particularly the best Hindi movie award.
Amitabh was great in Piku but still it didnt look like a National Award winning one. But at times you win not because you are extraordinary but just because you are the best of a particular lot or in this case the nominees. Salman was very good in BB but ABs Piku performance was better than Salmans BB at least for me. Don’t know who the other competitors were. So it could be a case of winning due to him being better than the other nominees. This is his 4th one after Agneepath, Black and Paa. The previous three were way more distinguished and classic performances than Piku. But still always good to see him getting recognition.
Kangana rocked in TWMR 2 and totally deserved it. This is her 3rd National Award after Fashion and Queen. Amazing actress and much ahead of her contemporaries in the acting department. Just needs to remain away from controversies. Talking about todays stars she is probably getting the recognition (among actresses) at National Award level which Ajay Devgn received among the male ones. AD has won two. Both are super awesome actors.
Hoping SRK gets a chance with Fan or Raees next year.

I am really happy to see Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kangana, Tanvi Azmi, Remo D’Souza, Kalki, Monali Thakur and Neeraj Ghaywan winning national awards . I personally feel Big B and SLB are not the deserving winners for Best Actor and Best Director respectively . I am also surprised to see Ritika Singh getting the special jury award for Saala Khadoos . I feel in terms of acting Akshay, Ajay and Ranveer were tough contenders for Best Actor . In terms of direction Neeraj Pandey and Meghna Gulzar were exceptional in Baby and Talvar respectively . Also really happy to see Dum Laaga Ke Haisha winning Best Feature Film in Hindi . So this is the 2nd time Salman is getting the national award and both the times as a producer . He won the first time for Chillar Party and now for Bajrangi Bhaijaan . I hope Salman invests his money in good movies instead of making something like Hero .

Why salman fans crying here, bajrangi bhaijan is a great filim, but the perfomence of salman not great for national award. His acting is very good not outstanding. Malayalam actor jayasurya is the competetor to big b, not salman.
