Main Tera Hero has collected around 21 crore in its first weekend at the domestic box office. The film opened to a decent response all over on Friday, picked up at almost every centre on Saturday, but failed to show any growth in business on Sunday.
The problem for Main Tera Hero, like every other Balaji Motion Pictures’ release this year, has been the cricket matches. Main Tera Hero was probably affected the most, as both the world cup semifinal and final was played on the first and third day of its first weekend.
Also, the release and positive reviews that Hollywood film ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ has garnered, affected business at multiplexes in big cities.
All factors considered, Main Tera Hero lost around 5-6 crore of business in its first weekend.
- Friday – 5.86 crore
- Saturday – 7.45 crore (up 27% from Friday)
- Sunday – 7.61 crore (up 2% from Saturday)
- Weekend Total – 20.92 crore
i still think these are decent numbers,and since now there are no matches,weekdays’ business should be good …

I have seen the film and varun shines in the film. His contemporaries will get multiplex appeal but he will enjoy both Multiplex and single screen, this boy has charm,acting ability,screen presence and wonderful dancing skills and great looks. I wish he will select good upcoming film which have better script and help him to enhance his acting skills. Way to Go varun dhawan, next big thing in bollywood.collection is decent but i am sure this film get good collection till 2states release and also continue to score in single screen and mass areas.
